I continually see that Kornel Dachs isn't regardly highly at Old Essendon, which is strange because at Caulfield he was a great coach! In fact he nearly had the senior coaching job had it not been for a breakdown in our contractual negotiations with him.

As a club best & fairest winner with St.Bernards and Caulfield, I think you are being harsh on him. Perhaps it's the cattle he's got to work with!

1 week until Caulfield v Old Essendon, can't wait!

The clowns have ruined it for everyone..AS USUAL. Reckon there is a bit of multiple personality disorder amongst the clowns as well.

Meanwhile in the real world.

Due to a course, I'm not officially umpiring in the goals for the next couple of weeks, but, will probably go and observe some of the goal umpires in the meantime. Such as Saturday, when I watched the 2nd half of Old Essendon v North Old Boys at East Keilor.

Both teams got quite heated during the match, but, the game was well umpired and had Old Essendon not fallen asleep during the 3rd term, they might have ended up winning, given their efforts in the last 10 minutes.

A friend of mine was also at this game and he told me that Essendon almost stole the game with Flaherty on fire, kicking 5 goals for the match...

An illustrious, colorful & enigmatic career may soon be coming to an end.

No, I'm not referring to Ryan from the OC but someone with a similar sized beek may soon stop dancing.

Watch this space.

You can't leave us hanging Diamond... the punters need to know!

I also heard this. He must have felt robbed not to have been given Old Essendon's best player.

I thought Kavanagh did a great job of holding Minton Connell to only 10 goals and deserved his BOG honours...

I also hear that the Snake got more game time than Parker...... Parker must really be battling.

Benny MOF, i notice you're from St Bede's.

Have you got the firetrucks on standby to get the ground up to a satisfactory level for this weekends game?

Firetrucks will be on standby after last year's debacle, as will the ferals with no teeth, bourbon breath and flannel shirts. You may notice that our bleached dreadlocks are at the height of modern fashion.

Tell me Benny,

Have they replaced that goal post that Heritage knocked over with his nose last season?

Why is this Heritage character so often talked about? I do remember him playing some pretty good games against us, especially in 2003.

After last weeks effort against DLS, the remaining goal posts are being removed for St.Bedes, with inside 50s counting as 6pts for them.

He made a name for himself with an over-rated grab of his made it into the Footy show's Almost Footy Legends segment. Since then most talk has been about whether it is his nose or his head that is largest in circumference.

Our problem is that our home ground is so small, uneven and really unsuitable for senior football, so when we have to play on real grounds (away games), it is difficult for us to win. We really do belong back in C Grade, thank god Old Ivanhoe didn't allow us a shot at A Grade as we nearly pipped them in the finals.

I do remember that grab on TFS, was a fair grab, unlucky not to win the car.
Is it true that Heritage no longer plays for Old Essendon?

That is correct. Apparently he had a role in a coach's box on the weekend for Collegians. Lets just hope his nose didnt get in the way and he was still able to do his job

Has he turned to coaching?

No, but as a change is giving the box a try for a while

I commend him on having a crack at the box, he will learn a lot about the game.

I think you will find this a trend within most VAFA clubs other than SKOB

Quite, quite. Its a shame Rohan was banned from here a couple of years ago. He used to fly the SKOB flag with as aplomb (sic).
