After a courageous loss at the weekend to De La Selle, this weekend Caulfield take on Old Essendon at the home of Amateur Football, Elsternwick Park. The two former foes of years gone by reacquiant for what should be a great match. Caulfield will go in favourites after Essendon again failed to smash much weaker opposition.

Ex-Caulfield and now current Old Essendon reserves coach Kornhole Dachs had his VAFA playing status approved last Tuesday night and will take up a playing coach position for this weekends spite filled clash.

Fabulous Phil looks certain to miss this week with a 14 week hamsrting injury, so big Dachs will slip straight into full forward. Having won the St Bernards goal kicking awards in 93, 95-97 and 99 there should be a massive bag kicked this Saturday at Elsternwick Park by the former VAFA A grade champion.

Your club is far more considerate than mine, when Dachs came to us about coaching and playing simultaneously we told him it wasn't possible. We just couldn't afford to lose a player of his calibre from the team!

Maybe we should do what the VAFA does to the Rep Squads and have a A-B Grade Forum and a C-D4 Grade Forum because I do not care for scores and best players that can be found in the Sunday Paper on this Forum.
