Old Xavs play Marcellin at Marcellin and St Bernards play SKOBS at the snake pit for round 7 (28th May).

Right you are PJP. I actually wrote down Old Xavs in my diary by mistake last night at umpire training. Guess it wasn't a good idea to see Star Wars for the 4th time on Monday night, because I was very tired and very flat on the track last night.

St Kevins were far too strong for the hapless Trinity, running out 50 point winners in perfect conditions at the Righetti. Under 23 squad member Ryan Chard was very good kicking 3 goals, while Matt Shannon spent a lot of time on the bench. Unfortunately Trinity's Kristian Butler had 5 goals kicked on him by Giansiracusa. This week I've got Old Xavs V St Bernards, so I'll report next week on the progress of Andrew Gill, Josh Madden & Chris Keunan (St Bernards) and Cameron Purss & Josh Agius (Old Xavs)

Finally, some A Section information instead of the usual innuendo. Good going.

Campbell was very good on the weekend, returning from his chronic picnicitis injury.

I hear that whilst he has recovered from picnicitis, he re-aggrivated his Oesteitis Plumpis injury recently. Any truth to the rumour.

And On The Seventh Round We Rested

The world was in mourning last night as the Reds dropped the Latte Cup again to Prahran @ Toorak Park. In a catastrophe reminiscent of the 2004 season, the hoodoo of Prahran at their home ground re-asserted itself.

Without warning, the slaughter of recent weeks has abated. The Fitzroy Reds, clearly the greatest current club in the country, and every other club (clearly equal stupidest) and the gap between them, all looked momentarily different.

It is said that a flaw must perforce be placed within every perfection. Perhaps this is that flaw. Prahran at Toorak Park, the day upon which the Roys rested.

PRAHRAN 14 11 95 v FITZROY REDS 12 12 84. I actually picked it. With most folks talking up Old Carey v Fitzroy Reds, this danger game was overlooked.

The Reds are now 6 & 1, trailing Old Carey by 1 win, and equal to Ormond, though with a much superior percentage and far larger johnsons. Prahran are now out of the four by a lazy 4 percent. Between them and the current finallists stand Yarra Valley OB.

Interest is feverish as the Reds will face the Bushrangers this coming week, probably at Punt (sic) Rd. 2nd (sic) v 4th. Old Carey (1st (sic)) and Ormond (3rd) face off at the Gunn reserve, in what shall truly be a gun round.

As Prahran play Bulleen-Templestowe away, they have the chance to take YVOB's spot, but won't find the task an easy one.

Reserves : PRAHRAN 6 3 39 v FITZROY REDS 15 8 98
U19s : FITZROY REDS 7 10 52 v OLD WESTBOURNE 13 9 87
Club XVIII : FITZROY REDS 15 13 103 v OLD TRINITY 8 6 54
Club XVIII 2nds : CAULFIELD GR 13 13 91 v FITZROY REDS (2) 9 9 63

In other news, Banyule continue to impress D1 recruiters.

Just curious fella's, theres rumors floating around that there will be an under 19s VAFA rep match (north vs south)can anyone verify this or is it just a crock of shiit?

From what I hear that is true. What do you think of your teammate David Regan's chances of playing in that game?

Pretty good as he has played a few 1sts games this year. That and he seems to be a lot bigger than a few of his opposition ruckman in the under 19s

I also think Sean Moran and Nick Bogar are a chance to make the team as well. Moran has probably been in the best 5 every game this year while bogars been the premier full forward in our section.

**Keep in mind this is based on our division so i cant really speak for any of the other sections**

You play under 19s squeak?

Forget about the 2005 season now Mobben, Prahran proved you blokes were pretenders. Its how far Old Carey from now on you'd say.

I heard that Dawson is "in lockdown" to go into the big brother house as an intruder?

Any truth?
As you predicted Pineapple, Dawson is apparently going into the house Wednesday night. The short clips they showed on the Eviction show mightn't have looked too much like him, but i think its because he had a haircut. He is resending invites for his 21st due to the location change.

Fitzroy - Extinct again?

Go the Two Blues! Saw the game on the weekend - Fitzroy Reds didn't look much.

Hehe hardly. Have a gander at this :
OLD CAREY 14 15 99 v YARRA VALLEY O B 13 10 88

Old Carey look worse winning than the Reds looked losing. Prahran are a far superior club to the Bushrangers.

We always lose to Prahran at Toorak Park. There's just no need to win 'em all.

Good sides can play badly and still win. Seems as though the Reds are a pack of frontrunners that can't cut it when it's not all going their way.

I was waving the flags on Saturday for St Bernards V St Kevins down at the Snake Pit. Andrew Gill was very good for the Snow Dogs, while Josh Madden was down on his previous "white hot" form. Chris Keunan would have been beaten by a D4 ruckman on the day and would have been more value serving hotdogs in the canteen. For St Kevins, Ryan Chard continued to impress kicking 4 goals and almost single handedly got St kevins over the line in a 1 point thriller. Matt Shannon again failed to have an impact and can consider himself very lucky to be in such a talented squad of under 23 footballers.
