Old Essendon to fall to C Grade Nuffy? That is a very big call. Former coach Dunell must have left them in very bad shape.

It's not my call L & W, it's just the word around HQ.

OE's are in the gun as far as the VAFAUA are concerned.

Low and Wide, having listed VAFA Under 23s as your team you'd be in a great position to comment on Dunnell and his post OEG life. Anything you could share?

Slitherin', i can share that if you're going to have a big night out at say Nova Bar, make sure you strap the calves. You just never know what ex-AFL mutton is on the podium. :D

Talking of podiums, if anyone wants reduced entry to Room tonight for the Ice T concert, come past the joint about 9pm and say your on Knighta's guest list.

There are rumours that one of your colleagues, non other than A grade scribe Jonathon Horn has been posting on the VAFA Forum under an alias.

Can you confirm this rumour?

BP

BP,

Sorry - it's news to me. If he does, then he'll learn something today - i.e.that our half-back-flanker who got pole-axed in the preliminary final last year was actually Joel Aitken, not Lachlan Aitken (as described in this week's column).

A quick flick through the OTAFC website player list would've confirmed this (mind you, my recent reports haven't been posted yet due to administrative difficulties). A minor detail only, however.

I think only Knighter, Jono Dixon and myself have actually 'fessed up on this forum (though we all know who Pazza and Nuffy are).

Best of luck to everyone tomorrow, unless they're suiting up for Old Scotch! ;)

Low & Wide do i detect some disenchantment with the Dunell coaching regime at OE's? What can you tell us about him and his assistants. Particularly Dennis the Menace look-a-like Dan Winkel. Also, how did u come up with the name "Low & Wide".

I've got that game tomorrow.

While I'm here, congratulations must go to fellow goalie Dom Napoli on reaching his 250th game. He'll be @ St. Bernards as they host the Bloods. Well done Dom.

I think Mr Picnic has fessed up to be plumper-loving serial-dater

Can anyone informed me if the big cat has got the call up to play for the state team.

My two big tips for this week in the A and B grades

A Grade: Trinity to defeat Scotch

B Grade: NOBs to defeat OE

The only thing I'll confess to is doing my Certificate IV in Dental Nursing at Swinburne Uni!

Saw Ice T last night and going to hear him again tonight at Room, I hope the door list was of some use to you guys.

Another win for the Fielders tomorrow!!!

Being an Old Mentonian myself, I have just observed the emergence of Prahran and was surprised at your disrespect given their recent record against the Reds (it would be 2-1 wouldn't it).

Then again, that tends to be the way of the Reds from the cockroach down and your confidence based on a lucky finals victory last year, a prelim flogging and solid results against a significantly weaker competition in 2005 seems a little over exuberant.

Would the Two Blues win the return bout away from home, not sure. But surely their record of having defeated the two so called destined Grand Finalists must make them somewhat bona fide.

Furhtermore, don't write off the Panthers from sneaking a finals berth yet either despite the Reds comfortable victory at the weekend!!!!!

Sorry VAFA O and Two Blues, I have yet to hear anything on Prahran's ripping performance against Glen Eira on Saturday !!

What a tough day at the office it was on Saturday. It was back to good old fashioned wet weather football as the heavens opened making goals hard to come by. On a day where skill counted for litte, only the truly desperate would walk away with the 4 points.

In A grade action, The OC climbed out of the relegation zone with upset of the season over finals contender Marcellin. St Kevins and Trinity now occupy the relegation zone but both went down by 5 points to the highly fancied Xavs and Cardinals. The Bloods did it easy against Bernies who are GONE and are now in the race to avaoid relegation and the students had a hard fought win against OM's.

B grade action saw Mazenod kick 1 goal to Old Ivanhoes 12 goals at HQ on Saturday, Brighton defeat Caulfield by 4 points in a tough contest, MHSOB to strong for Whitefriars and SMC kick 5 first half goals against the boys from Keilor Hill but went missing in the second half as OE came from behind to win by 10 points. In much better conditions at HQ yesterday De La Salle were too strong for St Bedes.

All clear thanks! :)

I hear some of you mean OEG's were getting into my little Phonse in the 2's on Sat. Dumb move! He has asked me to "sort" a few of you out. Watch the shadow's snake and pineapple!

i think the highlight of the day was Alphonse running out of the backline and kicking long to a Cameo King lead. The ball sailed over the King's head and landed in the fangs of the Snake, who banged it home from 60. One disappointment was that the Big Pineapple wasnt involved in the passage of play

That's because I was too busy playing 1's.

I did notice Alphonse and Magnum PI going at it like two greco roman wrestlers.

It was a match made in heaven that went the distance and even then the judges couldn't split them!

OC - yes, I do.

That Cameron is more of a chickenhawk than a rooster, though.

Ask The Big Cat, he'll tell you.

How are those Euroa boys going at trianing Scribe. I hear they are on top of the GVFL ladder and have a big game this week. Euroa (1st possie) v's Seymour (2nd possie).
