Tossers - Mollard, Beardsley, Beetham, Arnold, Ockleshaw, etc

Payments - No proof amoungst current players just a lot of things that don't add up. Why would Ex-AFL/VFL listed players who did not go to the school play for free with that bunch of blokes.

We've all heard the rumours about players from the past, Blood, Donati, Berry, etc now those rumours might not be true, the fact is no one has ever caught them red handed. Now with Sholly as head with many other Xavs and others from Catholic clubs on the VAFA Executive, there would be no chance of even getting them investigated.

It is all starting to sound like a conspiracy and I think the person behind it is either John Gupta? or the new Pope?

Keep this up, idiot, and all those lawyers they have down at Xavs might soon be writing letters to you seeking damages. You have offered not a skerrick of proof for any of your accusations. You see them win regularly, and you just assume these blokes are on a quid. You seem to have a psychotic fear of Catholics too, not just those wearing red and black. Time to grow up or get some help. Either way, stop placing this whole forum in jeopardy with your rubbish.

I am new to the Ammos but it seems like there are alot of sour grapes on this board. Old Xavs should be congratulated on their grand final win. Hopefully as a reds supporter we will be playing against Old Xavs in a few years but geez give them some credit.

Whilst I do hate Xavs, a lot of it is out of jealousy and admiration.

How many of us have dreamed of winning 8 flags in 11 years? Imagine all those mad monday's.......

Fair enough. I didnt think it would be viable to have a team in Bendigo.

I would like to learn about the teams though and who to hate from a Fitzroy Reds perspective.

Can we start with the A grade teams? Who can give me a rundown? :)

There was a great A grade summary done a few years back. Perhaps someone still has it on email. I dont have it unfortunatly. I think someone from Marcellin wrote it.

That would be great. I am interested in all the sections so if anyone can shed some light on them that would be great. Is there a lot of difference between the sections?

It actually came from NOBS, one of the all-time great e-mails though........

Enjoy...

I think Alphonse might know a bit more about the authorship of this e-mail than he lets on.

That email is an all time great. I commend the great man who penned it.

What we are waiting for is the 2005 update. Perhaps B Grade clubs could be included???

Well done. Over to you ....

I think the Author has had his column revoked after that piece. Watch out in 2006 though, sportal are taking over the VAFA website and there is a chance for a weekly column.

I am off to the Footy Trip now. Oh no.

If Sportal take over the VAFA are we a chance to get live scores? That would be awesome in Bendigo! :) That post was great and paints a good picture for me of the teams in A section.

I would love to hear about all the other divisions though! :)

)

A good picture??????????????

Personalities aside ,and argue if you will about those, where is there any semblance of realiy about the clubs. Three flags have been decided since then. Xavs, apparently destined for B Grade, have won two. The apparently mediocre Uni Blues were until a week ago "one of the greatest Amateur teams ever" and won the 2004 flag.

The post was a humorous and perhaps envious dig at A Section clubs from a bloke who suspected then, and now knows, that his club was closer to folding than it was to promotion.

Someone once told me that the email in question was not penned by a Marcellin, NOBS or De La Salle member but by the great man himself, Brad Beitzel. Can anyone confirm this?
I think it might be time for a 2005 version as the competition continues to chance complexion...Brad, time to dust off the Channel 31 Sportscoat and the "I hate Craig Kelly bunmper sticker" and give us amateur followers some entertainment in the summer months

Mate I was being sarcastic. It is a great read though as you do get a bit of a laugh out of it!

Get a life caveman. Is the footy in Bendigo that bad?

I have a great collection of DVD's but the stars are not Corrigan, Rice and Ramsden of the VAFA A-Grade, but more like Jenna, Sylvia & Brittney of the starlet variety.

You can borrow them if you like Caveman.

Jonathon

Whilst I cannot confirm the identity of the author. I can confirm that your predecessor did not pen that email.

It was penned by a man of infamy and perhaps now folklore. Mr Beitzel is still too busy running around Elsternwick Park on Sunday mornings learning the names & numbers of the 2001 U/19 rep side to be penning glorious emails such as that.

LOL cheers mate. By the way I do love footy in Bendigo and I have a website on the league. Let me know what you think. www.geocities.com/bendigofooty

I follow Kangaroo Flat and take my boys to most home games. I just have a big interest in the VAFA (The Premier Comp in Victoria)! :)

Heard that Bevridge has been appointed new tigers coach, confirm Benny MOF? Is the other Wintle back for 06' season along with Napier, whom i saw ripped up the Geelong league? Mate from Mentone said that they are planning a demolition of arch rival Parkdale, already with 2 AFL players, Bevridge thinks he can add more, especially 1 very high profile ex-saints forward.

Tony Lockett?

Ansty wants to, but wont from what ive heard. If he did would absolutely tear it up. Would win the woodrow if they were in A grade, let alone the C grade B & F. Gets close to best on every week for Franga, think he wants the coaching gig, but is great mates with Juice Wintle. Jurica isnt playing for Nth Ballarat, and wants to play for his mate, the ox, down there. And Bevridge & Lowe are great mates. From what ive heard, Shane Valenti and Fleming are the two young guns, as well as beckwirth, as an addition for their 19's. If this comes to fruition, Tigers premiers 06' by over 20 goals.

Stephen Jurica former richmond player

He won 2 Liston Trophy's for Nth Ballarat as well i believe

Loewe, Bevridge, Jurica & Capsalis in one C Grade side? eeeek  The tigers will be in A grade in 2 years if this is the case

Better tell the boys to get Health insurance as the infamous Brindisi St postage stamp oval is the smallest, most potholed ********** heap I have ever played on and should be banned from the VAFA.

Is Brindisi St the same ground that Mentone used in the SESFL? I know I played in a match against either Mentone or Highett Districts, but can't remember which one. Two-storey pavilion/rooms on south side? Does that sound like Brindisi St?

I heard Luke Power was leaving Brisbane and the only melbourne based side he would be prepared to play with is Old Trinity, provided Sam is released from the Bulldogs back to his old school side too.

That's about as likely as what's been proposed above.
