Is James Herritage still playing at Keilor Hill?
Had a pretty impressive 2004 season but didn't see his name pop up in 2005.
Can anyone help me out on this one?

Herritage jumped ship at the end of 2004 and headed for Collegians. Obviously wanted to play A Grade footy, but suffered a bad knee injury early on in the year. Missed all of last year and possibly some of this year.

I believe there may be some link between himself and a top rating channel 10 tv show. He was once a regular at Boutique and Motel.

Seeing as though Collegians are back in B grade and Old Essendon also remain is there a chance he will return?

I doubt it. Surely you couldn't go back to a club you left the year before.

There may have been more reasons than just wanting to play A Grade footy.

Lets just hope for his sake that he can return to football with Collegians and show the club how much ability he has, because there's no doubt he can really play!!!

The MOF has decided on a change of club, I'm heading up the road to Beauy to play under Russell Barnes. I've had enough of the crap at Brindisi St and a fresh start is what I need. It will help playing underr Russell again, although my form was ordinary this year, a change is as good as a holiday.

Got a few mates there too so should be fun.

Can't wait for preseason to start.

If you say so....

I haven't seen him play much, actually maybe never.

James Heritage is a fine VAFA player, one of the very few forwards who had the wood on NOBS fullback Chris Hosking, he used to enjoy a picnic at the Gillon reguarly. I wish him well in his recovery from the knee injury. It would be great to see him back at Keilor Hill and OEG, his spiritual home ( there and the Golden Gate).

Wat kind of problems are there down at tigerland benny MOF??? Everything is looking bright for the tigers in 2006 with some new recruits already and a new change of guard in the coaching box and in the presidents seat and i cant see why you would want to change.

I really don't want to go into the problems down there, I have had a great 5 years at the Tiges and wish them nothing but success in '06 and beyond, it's an internal matter that should stay that way.

I've heard a rumour that the middle brother of the three playing at NOBs has been telling many that he thinks he is too good for C grade two's footy. Apparently is looking for a B grade two's team to play for.

their problems are of the sort that only a champ like ban.carbonaro could fix. did he mention he is with the 'bees, and was once with Rupo?

Confirmed yesterday, Sam Ansty will be playing with the tigers in 06'. Possibly the biggest signing in the offseason for the AMMO's, and would deffinately be one of the best running around, at only 24 you can basically etch Ansty's name on the league B & F already.

Sam Anstey??

Yeah, roles off the tongue like Gary Ablett. There will be bigger signings in the VAFA, for one, The MOF has gone to Beaumaris....

Haven't read this thread for a while, so I may not be telling anyone anything they don't already know, but Dan Cullinan and Joel Rice have signed for West Perth and are leaving in a month or so. Marcellin might struggle big time without them (though they have a lot of good juniors coming through), but there is also a lot of talk that ex-ruckman Mark Brown is in discussions with a couple of interstate clubs, as well.

that has been the rumour going around on this site for a while, but no one happens to know about it at the actual club, interesting that both boys donated their all australian tops to the club i think. aswell as both attending the best and fairest night last week and seemed quite keen on success next year. would be interesting to know where you heard this.

Any suggestion that someone involved with the All Australian team from the West may have enticed them over? The article linked above does suggest some strong friendships made over a few Guinesses...

Spoke to Dan Cullinan at Blue on Saturday night. He'd been to the races, and no doubt had sunk a few, but said he and Ricey were leaving in a couple of weeks to sign for West Perth and begin pre-season there. The big fella looks like he could use a decent pre-season! I also know that it's a fact because he said he's moving in with ex-rochester player, Ben Anderson, who I know well, and who also confirmed this.

Very quick standard of footy, should suit rice.

Style of football might suit Rice, but I'm not sure whether Cullinan will make the grade. Dan Jordan went over there and didn't set the world on fire, and I think its fair to say that DJ is a better player than Cullinan. I think he'll find himself in the 2's a fair bit.

I thought it was interesting of West Perth to have him living with Ben Anderson, considering they'll probably be fighting for the same spot, although Anderson was reported to be going back to Rochester 06. Might be Cullinan's opening. Though i think you could be right, mightn't move well enough to make a huge impact over there. Rice will kill it. Dockers and Eagles will be talking to him at some stage 06 you'd reckon..

If the Rice & Cullinan rumour is legit, i think you'll find Cullinan back @ Marcellin pretty soon....... He'll miss the drink cards at Next Blue too much......
