Magnum PI and The Big Pineapple seem like vindicative, catty types.
Gee I would hate to play footy at the same club as these blokes.
Hang on.....

That's why I play at Collegians. Because we share the love!

Isn't that right OC?

this forum is seemingly being dominated by genuine nuffs lately.

where are the unprovoked sprays and crap '80s TV show references?

Bring back TopGun18... he was always good for a brainless, unintelligent spray!

Saw end of Fitzroy Reds reserves and quarter and a half of seniors before heading home to get ready for the Magic Flute.

Reds reserves had a big lead early third quarter but were slowly pulled back and overtaken with about 3 minutes to go.

I overheard one (who are they, old mentone or someone) Mentonian state 'Happy 50th, Fitzroy'. WHich of course cuts to the bone, your reserve team losing a 2nd round match by 8 points and still sitting higher than the dumbalks that fell in over them. If they'd pipped our finals chances it might have been more relevant. But, as we know, if Bill Sykes won't employ you, you might as well move to Mentone.

Seniors looked good enough but not terrific, Mega, whom Rupertswood kids surely enjoyed the absence of yesterday, just commands. Still, I thought Mentone looked fairly capable. 6 goals to 3 at 1/4 time, and it something like 7 goals to 4 when I had to leave. Apparently that was it for the contest, papers say a 70 point margin!

If there's one moral you can take from this story, its that, whenever I watch a football team, they play like crap. They play well until I arrive, then they play like crap. As soon as I leave, they play well again. Go figure.
Thanks mate.

Always good to know how the older Fitzroy players went.

Makris is progressing at a staggering rate. A call up to the seniors would not been seen as a surprise to many pundits.

While speaking to him in the last couple of days, if he doesnt play 1s this year he will return to Greece where he is a soccer star and B grade celebrity. Old Essendon's loss would be the Greek Party Circut's gain

Shattering News from Keilor Hill, the injury curse has hit the Red-Headed Cut of Meat and he will be M.I.A. this week
Another kick in the guts for Kornal Dachs it would seem at OEG Land. Does this red-headed cut of meat have any resemblence to a young Mark Bairstow?

I hope your not talking about the same Murray Makris who was training down at the Box Hill Hawks with me a few years back? He was quite a character!

I urge all Old Essendon Grammarians to get there early on saturday to watch Kornel Dachs play in the 2nds this week. His skill is sorely missed at Caulfield, as is his spinning top figure!

It appears that a number of weddings are taking place this week and the services of this former legend are required.
Another player is in doubt with a bruised mind.

Question: If Wedding Receptions start at 6pm and Reserves games start at 12 noon why would a player be unavailable?

What about the ceremony?

Can anybody confirm that in the Old Essendon vs NOBs seconds game, it is likely that the infamous Hutch may line up on the even more infamous Alphonse??

This matchup wil surely pack the terraces, similar to Kornel Dachs making an appearance.

Will Kornel be wearing his bike shorts?

The Alphonse/Hutch match up does sound enticing. It may be the highlight of an otherwise one-sided affair.

Some of the lustre of the game has worn off though after the MonaHommaBonaDucci recently injured his back/neck while continuously looking at his shoulders while running

The Snake will come in for MonaHomaBonaDucci... if somebody can give him a lift?

His shoulders are rather large Snake, it's a pity about his neck/back injury. Are u sure it can't be attributed to the burden of the ginger hair on his head?
