That was not me Roberta. Tommy in fact chased down the culprit and left one of the most frightening voice messages on the young players phone you will ever hear. No more calls were made after that incident (though we haven't won since eitheir).

Speaking of incidents at Motel, I believe an encounter occurred there on Saturday night when Destination A Grade and Alphonse accidently crossed paths. Even Oggy's Cousin was cited.

Also, a big footy convention will be held in the Harbour City this weekend, myself, the Big Pineapple and KR are certain starters, The BC has sent his apologies. All welcome.

Saw him last year - not big enough for key position. Goes reasonably well, but I doubt the Pitters will be devastated at the loss. More of a 3rd tall-cum flanker type, but would add something to the OEG forward line for sure.

Due to the arrival of the very unsavoury Alphonse Lite, i will be now retiring from the VAFA forum I dont want to have the Alphonse brand name trashed by this sad pathetic imposter.

It is a great shame but that is way that it has to be. Good bye for now.

I see myself not as an imposter but more of a tribute to you the great man. It's a real pity that you have now got such a big head that you would be deluded enough to think that by using the name Alphonse in my title, that people would assume I was you. Really Alphonse showing some of the lack of heart displayed at the Gillon last year.

Xavier / SKEVS debate is all good fun.
I'd say it's one of the big rivals in the APS, and lets not cut to the chase, if it wasn't for the APS, VAFA football would be dead.
Recently it's been fueled in the VAFA by Mick Blood, a traitor in my eyes. His old man went to SKC with mine, sure he played at Xavs when SKOB were floundering, but when SKOB returned, he should have switched clubs. At that time (& he was never as consistent as Blood) Marcus Olive V Blood was as good as it got in VAFA, I will never forget that marking display by big Ollie (who also played Rugby in the RWC Qualifiers) in the PF V Xavier.
No doubt Xavier are a great side but they never went through what SKOB did in the late 90's, they effectively delivered Bernards a flag (as the majority of it's side was SKOB) & another old boy was a premiership captain for Old Xavs.
That said, unless you went to Xavier or St. Kevin's, you will never know what really motivates the hostility. Most of the catholic primary schools around Ivanhoe, Kew, Hawthorn, Malvern would have been full of Xavs & Skevs in the early years (till Yr 2). On that basis, most get along.

Xavs is a great football school but SKEVs are just as good. Xavier produce VFL/AFL players, & good VAFA sides. Skevs produce very successful AFL/VFL players, have trouble instilling that after school in the VAFA.
