Momentum (and Selwood- has he re -signed?) says Ivanhoe good chance to go back to back. My old friend Aitkens team a little old in the tooth. Think Kew will finish 2nd though.
And Bedfords mate he just commented about will be looking at player points when they play Ivanhoe trying to get a cheap 4 points. I will ask one of his players for a few beers (match payments for them) to watch with interest when Ivanhoe are on my side of town.
West Brunswick need new coach so cant see them in top 4. Then its average from top 2 down

from other forums, all youth from McKinnon High. Also hear that this coach missed out on Beaumaris coaching role to St Kevins school head of sport?

Don't think you'll find anyone here who underestimate the Combines youth. It's more the indecent way they've gone about accruing it.

Frankly, inducing other clubs' talented kids with gifts/inducements - meals and beverages - is a low act and possibly runs counter to the standards which underpin VAFA recruiting.

One week at a time Brainy T. I get the feeling D1 will be very competitive and one of the - if not THE most closely contested comps in the VAFA.

Scooter playing when available - as is most of last years list at this stage but we are 4.5 months away from round 1

He wasn’t the head of sport, he was coach for one year, and the reason most schools don’t hire outside people.

Feedback from people in the know is that he couldn’t coach a duck to swim, hence the amount of movement he has had around the traps.

Wonder if another option would be Old Mentone and Hampton Hammers from the SFL merging- combine numbers and Mentonians get a ground

Chelt Panthers are a feeder club for Cheltenham, besides geography and being in a different Council area the problem was that people at Panthers didn’t work anywhere near hard enough to encourage this so talented juniors ended up at Dingley, Old Mentonians etc but same has happened to plenty of other clubs, this has been rectified and hopefully will show dividends

I'd suggest Bedders that IF given the option that 'your mate' would decline and want to stay in D1 for very obvious reasons.

We would not be ready to play in C with the current list, but if given the option I would suggest we have a group that would be happy to play a higher standard and work our asses off to get better/recruit to remain there the year after.
