I know Mr Haros would to love it. Will test the waters. Sounds like a great idea.I like it Maxy!!
Also, how about in September when the weather is a bit nicer we do a 'reunion re-match' of the 1995 C-grade GF as a fundraiser?
I know you guys will be happy for us to pocket the coin as you have plenty down there at Chelsworth #chuckle.
Chump.
It doesn't include exercising apparently so I still feel positive. People think miraculously that Coronavirus will disappear & local sports are back as usual next year. If we don't play this year we won't play indefinitely unless there is a vaccine as there will always be the threat of a positive test.Yep. Unfortunately we are cooked.
Just heard that the spike is almost solely as a result of the Rydges Hotel and the security guards. It doesn't include exercising apparently so I still feel positive. You could look at this in a slightly different way .......
Firstly - this lock down is for right NOW, not for what would be an entire VAFA suggested season. IF the numbers started coming down and the level was eased again in a few weeks - these clubs could still field teams. Whilst they would be significantly disadvantaged NOW, they 'could' have teams available for a July 25th / August 01st start and play?
Secondly - I would suggest that any players that live in these zones announced today would be advised/supported into doing the correct thing and asked not to attend training at this point in time.
Thirdly - we have only won 5 games in 2 years ......so if West Brunswick can not play as planned this year in D2 can we get the points? #chuckle![]()

Yep - for those areas it’s back to the statewide rules which applied to all of us during April and May.In pairs only. All sport off in those areas for 4 weeks
At this stage there will be 4 weeks before any person/club in those 10 postcodes would be permitted to do anything more than have kick to kick with a mate (again). You could look at this in a slightly different way .......

Are you this optimistic as you may have a side in 2020 equivalent to that of a much higher grade![]()

Agree Bedders .... unfortunately!Meeting is on tonight , all over I would think
The season is being called off tomorrow by all reports according to an attendee from tonight’s meeting.Yeah, it's hard to see a season going ahead with so many teams in the affected areas. Stay safe everyone
Well said. It's a shame that less than 0.005% of a population can ruin things for the other 99.995% that are doing the right thing.
Was looking forward to at least getting some sort of season, as it would have thrown a few curveballs and lifelines to some clubs that were in for a long regular season.
Out of interest, and apologies to the teams I may forget, but who are the "so many teams" ? According to the postcodes, these are the clubsYeah, it's hard to see a season going ahead with so many teams in the affected areas. Stay safe everyone
Our coach seemed to think that St. Bernard's, Willy CY's, Westbourne, NOBS, North Brunswick would all be affected tooOut of interest, and apologies to the teams I may forget, but who are the "so many teams" ? According to the postcodes, these are the clubs
Therry
PEGS
West Brunswick
Remembering that the lockdown is only for the people living in those suburbs. If a season got underway, those clubs could have a bye in the first round or two until after July 29th (if they were going to play anyway)
His producer is John Donohoe who calls for (or used to) for Game Face & is involved with Old Xavs, who was whispering in his ear piece. Take that as you will.I’m not so active on here so sorry if someone said it already but Gary Lyon on SEN just said vafa will be off for the year
Great idea !!! Mid week catch up games as well in Aug-Sep when the days are longer & weather improves!!!Out of interest, and apologies to the teams I may forget, but who are the "so many teams" ? According to the postcodes, these are the clubs

When can we expect an announcement? His producer is John Donohoe who calls for (or used to) for Game Face & is involved with Old Xavs, who was whispering in his ear piece. Take that as you will.
With up to 8 teams, you'd say not able to train/play for 4 weeks it would push the season start well into August.
All over red rover
