From Splinters Woodcock. Police seized Meth and paraphernalia at his home. I am honestly so stunned Cousins managed to make his way through his issues without paying the ultimate price.
Unfortunately, genetics is a lottery. What my body can withstand, yours might not be able to. All we can do is try to look after what we each have as best we can.

The best Swingman we've ever had, when the team needs a last minute goal, Woosha will send him forward and he will deliver. Thank you for your services to the club you legend and thank you for the 2006 Grand Final last goal.

You will be missed and rest in peace you legend.

Don't know the full story so why try guess?

Also, stop reading garbage clickbait rags and you won't get so annoyed and offended.

Hunter was a seriously good footballer who had his career shortened with injury. For many of us he was the high flying marking option we all pretended to be at school playing king of the pack.

Sucks to hear.

RIP Adam, you were my favourite player in that team and for a period maybe our most important. However you left this earth I hope you find more peace in the next.

Putting both the shite timing of the media comments and whether one should never speak ill of the dead to one side, in due course it would be an appropriate move for the club to come out and properly acknowledge they got it horribly, horribly wrong at the time and that senior club leaders (including "Are you taking drugs Ben?" "No I do not John" Woosha), made bad decisions in relation to reigning in drug taking behavior of a group of young men.

Should re-confirm we have learned from bad past mistakes and will (and have been), do everything reasonably necessary to generate a positive and safe work environment (no I not going all lah de dah - for example, unconcerned with Liam boxing on as long as he doesn't get injured).

We either f###ed up completely back then (premiership aside) in not nipping the drugs shite in the bud early on, or we just had horrible luck in scoring a coterie of player that were inherently destined to run off the rails irrespective of what we as a club did.

It's clearly the former and we can hardly go all high and mighty about mud slingers, slinging the mud we created, at us.

Cousins, Chick, Kerr, Hunter etc were pretty much free to do what they wanted as long as we won; and I suspect their families are less concerned now about facts being stated by third parties irrespective of the timing, as compared to wishing the Club hadn't allowed for a player environment, where a significant number are now effectively cooked.

Getting harder and harder to defend as time goes by and as a passing note, Ken Judge, you may have been an average coach, but gee you were right.
I've done a 180 on this and feel the same.

And that doesn't excuse the ghoulish media for their gross exploitation of the situation, or the double standards or whatever.

But it's really so far beyond any of that, or the petty parochial bullshit. It's now 20+ years of carnage and a string of lives directly or indirectly ruined. A genuine tragedy.

How that was allowed to happen and for so long under Nisbett, Worsfold and co is disgusting. And regardless of whatever happened afterwards they deserve a black mark.

Helps you understand why Judd decided to leave. It does seem at least half the team at that point in time must have been using.

Yeah we still don't know the full story of what went down. Even the Gillard Report that was leaked by the Herald Sun is redacted and missing the appendices.

There's an important story there that needs to be told, and all we're going to get is silence or sensationalism.

It's curious that Judd once claimed that only 5 or 6 players were a problem.
If it was widespread as half the team, then was he simply oblivious to it?

Judd left for money and wanting to be back in Victoria, nothing more.

It's BS he left due to the culture. Judd was no clean skin himself, and continued to be best mates with the likes of Kerr and Cousins after he left the club.

Judd left for 2 reasons, big bucks for himself and better career opportunities for Bec in Melbourne,

Everyone in WA should be grateful to Chris Judd for ridding us of Bec, she's nothing more than a very irritating X-list celebrity who has the buzzing charm of a mosquito. Melbourne can have her.

Can we please can the gossip/speculation/trash article posts.

Any death that young is a tragedy for all involved no matter the circumstances.

Have some empathy lads, for the dignity and respect of the family/friends. Be nice if we could keep the thread to tributes/memories of Hunter the play and person.

Whatever comes out comes out. But now's not the time.
