Drugs seized from scene of Eagles hero Adam Hunter’s death
West Coast Eagles premiership hero Adam Hunter has died at the age of 43, with reports detectives seized drugs and paraphernalia from the scene.thenightly.com.au
From Splinters Woodcock. Police seized Meth and paraphernalia at his home. I am honestly so stunned Cousins managed to make his way through his issues without paying the ultimate price.

supercoach reasonsI’m kinda shocked anyone would willingly have a Herald Sun membership. Unless you did it for SuperCoach reasons I guess
I've done a 180 on this and feel the same.Putting both the shite timing of the media comments and whether one should never speak ill of the dead to one side, in due course it would be an appropriate move for the club to come out and properly acknowledge they got it horribly, horribly wrong at the time and that senior club leaders (including "Are you taking drugs Ben?" "No I do not John" Woosha), made bad decisions in relation to reigning in drug taking behavior of a group of young men.
Should re-confirm we have learned from bad past mistakes and will (and have been), do everything reasonably necessary to generate a positive and safe work environment (no I not going all lah de dah - for example, unconcerned with Liam boxing on as long as he doesn't get injured).
We either f###ed up completely back then (premiership aside) in not nipping the drugs shite in the bud early on, or we just had horrible luck in scoring a coterie of player that were inherently destined to run off the rails irrespective of what we as a club did.
It's clearly the former and we can hardly go all high and mighty about mud slingers, slinging the mud we created, at us.
Cousins, Chick, Kerr, Hunter etc were pretty much free to do what they wanted as long as we won; and I suspect their families are less concerned now about facts being stated by third parties irrespective of the timing, as compared to wishing the Club hadn't allowed for a player environment, where a significant number are now effectively cooked.
Getting harder and harder to defend as time goes by and as a passing note, Ken Judge, you may have been an average coach, but gee you were right.
Helps you understand why Judd decided to leave. It does seem at least half the team at that point in time must have been using.RIP Adam, you were my favourite player in that team and for a period maybe our most important. However you left this earth I hope you find more peace in the next.

And that doesn't excuse the ghoulish media for their gross exploitation of the situation, or the double standards or whatever.
But it's really so far beyond any of that, or the petty parochial bullshit. It's now 20+ years of carnage and a string of lives directly or indirectly ruined. A genuine tragedy.
How that was allowed to happen and for so long under Nisbett, Worsfold and co is disgusting. And regardless of whatever happened afterwards they deserve a black mark.

It's curious that Judd once claimed that only 5 or 6 players were a problem.Helps you understand why Judd decided to leave. It does seem at least half the team at that point in time must have been using.
