Very sad news. Didn't even know he was ill.

From all accounts not many did. As a Manly supporter born in the early 70's, he's one of the first players I remember. I have his signature on a Big League from the 1987 Grand Final (Manly v Canberra, where he was coach) floating around somewhere that I need to dig out. He was tough and had one of the best football brains there's ever been. Vale Bob Fulton.

I know he hated losing as a player and a coach.

Does anyone know why he left Manly to coach the Aussies but made a comeback while he was still coaching the Aussies?
