A spokesperson for the Flamingo Hotel said in a statement that a man had been found unresponsive at about 5.40am local time (10.40pm yesterday AEST).

"(He was found) on the south driveway of the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas," the spokesperson said.

"He was transported to the University Medical Center of Las Vegas, where he was pronounced deceased."

I can't even bring myself to say "a Port player has died in Vegas". I have a hard enough time cutting players off our list for next season as they are all Port players to me and therefore I love and believe in everyone on our list. To think that Johnny wont be living with us next season is hard to take. Such a young lad only months older than me, his life cruelly taken away at a time he should have been appreciating it most. Something is wrong here, it isn't right.

Rest assured that those types of people are few and far between. You only need to see the response from the BigFooty community to know this.

I still cannot believe this. Far too young to die. I cannot imagine how the family is feeling, but my heart goes out to them. I usually don't feel so shattered when it's someone I don't know personally, but I feel like I've lost a friend.
