I'm not sure if this is the right place to say this but I'm hearing a young lad on a footy trip jumped off the roof of the port pirie hotel last night, believed to be aiming for a shade cloth. He is on life support now but believed to be too critical to pull through

It's such a shame that someone had such a reality check this week and a fresh reminder yet it wasn't heeded :-( I'm gutted to think such a similar incident could happen again?

I'm wondering if the port Collingwood matches we are pushing for would be better held in round 22 rather than round 1 and be played with a message to all clubs about the need to take better care of themselves and each other on these end of season steam blowoffs

The Chief Executive of the Port Adelaide Football Club was used to crisis management. But this made the club's previous leadership turmoil irrelevant.

Surely that could've been worded in a way to emphasise the human impact over business/industry matters rather than reaching for old chestnuts such as these?

Its unfair to think that normal humans could attend the football on Friday, the show on Saturday and then be in an appropriate physical shape to run the City/Bay on Sunday. It is inhumane.
