Hard to believe it was a year yesterday RIP John.

He may be physically gone but I believe he's never left us in spirit. After all the quirky coincidences that revolve around the number 35 this one tops it off. This Friday night we play Geelong on the 13/09/13 you add those 3 numbers together and you get 35. I don't see it as an omen that we'll win but that he's been with us the whole time experiencing this fantastic year with us.

I posted this in the other John McCarthy thread last year:

Just wanted you to know that I was in Las Vegas over the weekend and stopped by the area by the Flamingo where John met his untimely death. I said a prayer for him and for his family at the spot. May he rest in peace.

I was in Vegas again last week and stopped by the Flamingo to pay my respects. However, the area is being remodeled and the the palm tree where he died is no longer there. Maybe that's a good thing. Can't believe it's been a year. Respect.
