Shocking to hear

May he RIP, was all over the Clarko stuff. A terrific poster. Will be missed.

Very sad news. Won't claim that I knew him well, but I sat at KIA34's table at a big club function (Team of the Century?) at the Old Exhibition Building 20-25 odd years ago. I think it was as a late fill-in for a seat, all teed up on BigFooty which had a much smaller, close knit community back then... also sat with him and his crew for a few games after having met at the event and it was always good hearted barracking and good humour.
When Facebook started up a few years later I recognised his name on a few footy nostalgia groups and always read his posts with interest, not only because he was a North supporter that I "sorta" knew, but mostly because his knowledge was second to none, especially in the era I have followed North, and probably about 8-10 years before that. His info would always be very reassuring that I was on the right track, or s stark reminder that I didn't know as much as I thought I did.

Further to my previous post about my lack of respect for that insidious malaise, I didn't realise KIA 34 was a Bullant. As a past Bullant, I mourn both KIA34 and The Ants.

Not sure how I missed this, I don’t know any of you in person but we all have the same passion and that’s for our footy club.
