**** cancer.

Vale KIA. Always found him to be a great member of this community. We DM'd quite a few times and he was always an extremely friendly bloke to chat with.

He's well-remembered for being all over the Clarko news, but I'll also remember him most from being the first one who had us linked to Finnbar Maley.

Big loss. Would love to see the offseason rumour threads named the KIA34 threads in his memory.

I first met Mark in 1995 (Rd 18 v WCE to be exact - Simmo's first game) and of the almost 500 games I have attended since, there would have been less than 10 games when we didn't sit with each other. We had many adventures together - either just the 2 of us, with the boys or including our families, and almost all of my favorite North memories in life involve you being there. On Sunday, a couple of us were lucky enough to spend our last time with Mark - in hospital with him and his girls - just telling Mark stories, laughing, crying and just hoping that he wasn't in pain.

Mark - On Sunday, we know you could hear us and I hope that you were able to smile on the inside. We love you, we miss you already and our hearts are toitally broken. We know that now you have a direct line to the big fella upstairs, that there will be some good times ahead for North in the not too distant future, and so we promise to include you and the girls in all the celebrations we are going to have going forward.

RIP Mark - Kick it Anywhere #34!!!

(with Roo Freak and the rest of the Bay 34 gang).

He would absolutely love this idea and be absolutely honoured - I vote yes for this as well...

Hi all, I’m KIA34’s daughter. Just wanted to say it was so lovely to read all these messages out to our family. He loved North Melbourne and we will continue his legacy in Bay 34. I’m sure if anyone would like to come to his funeral, just get in touch. Cheers Jordan and family.

You both have my sincere condolences.

It sucks losing mates.

Even more losing your dad.

Thoughts and condolences are with all here who knew him IRL.

One day, when some lucky bugger gets the job of writing the book that chronicles how North persevered through the horrible early 2020s to achieve premierships plural before the decades end, they need to save a chapter for recounting how one bloke achieved mythical status by signposting a certain Clarko deal when all seemed lost.
