Condolences to family & friends and the entire Blues community who had the pleasure to experience his time with us.

I grew up idolising his onfield feats, wore his number on my back and loved the thrill and exhilaration he provided all Blues supporters for 3 seasons.

He took great marks, kicked exciting goals and was nearly a pioneer for F50 pressure with his tackling, smothers, goal assists, knock on’s, 1%ers etc.

I will never forgot the joy he brought to my football experience as a young Blues fan growing up and also the joy & camaraderie he shared with his teammates every time he or they did something amazing.

Vale Buzz šŸ’”

Wonderful footballer, I’m lucky enough to have seen him play.
Had uncanny skills, every time he went near the ball you knew something exciting was going to happen.
If you asked me who playing today would compare to him I’d honestly say nobody.
He was a one of a kind player.
R.I.P sadly missed.
Cross between Heeney & Toby Greene would be a starting point…. but with more X factor!

For me he was more your Garry Ablett Sr type.
Even if you wasn’t a Carlton supporter you’d watch there games just to see the unbelievable things Buzz could do.
I’d doubt any player who only played 3 years of VFL has ever had a bigger impact.

Kind of. He did the hand thing in '84 when he was frustrated that his Perth team wouldn't clear him back to Carlton without a $25,000 transfer fee.

He went home originally because his father opened a sports store and then got leukaemia so Buzz wanted to help out.

When he came back in '86 he stepped on a pop up sprinkler at training and made a mess of his ankle.

What might have been.
What a combination that could have been with the Kernahan surrounded by the Buzz and the Dominator.

Just wasn't meant to be....

Saw The Buzz light it up so many times. Was one of those players you paid the money to go and see for the excitement and expectation of what he would do. Very seldom did you walk away disappointed.

Was Parkins ā€˜go to’ player when we were down and needed energising.

A brilliant player.

RIP Buzz

I saw Buzz play for Perth back in the late 70's, everyone knew they were watching a star. His arrival at Carlton ( a team I adopted because of the many great West Australians Carlton had acquired and the fact they had the best jumper in the league ) They were electric to watch, though we only got highlights on "The Winners" if anyone is old enough to remember that? He had more talent than just about any footballer I have seen . From all accounts he was a great man off the field as he was on it. My heart hurts for his family and friends. His wife had been with him since she was 17, that tells me a bit about his character. To all Blues fans, sincere condolences on losing a champion of your club. Vale Peter Bosustow.

All time favourite footballer. Remember Parkin saying, when Carlton was flat the runner would be sent to the Buzz with the message ā€œjust go do somethingā€. Within no time, a freaky tackle, a ridiculous mark or a
miracle goal would happen.
Great bloke, great footballer, great memories.

So so sad … he gave me so much joy in those early eighties was right behind him when he took that mark and was behind those goals in that final when he kicked that incredible goal … R.I.P. Buzz thanks for the memories … sincere condolences to his family šŸ™ā¤ļø
Yep
Was seated forward pocket for both of those as a 14 year old
Will remember them till my dying day
When Hunter and the Buzz arrived, just knew we would win more flags

Just heard this news . Even though I follow another team always sad to hear a Club great from another pass away . Peter was a very memorable footballer , got people through the gates, a super talent RIP.

Yeah agree…. but the comment was about which players ā€œplaying todayā€ to compare him too.

The Buzz was so amazing. Absolutely saddened to hear this news. So many happy memories of my first few years of seeing the Blues in action, after spending my childhood in outback Queensland, were from Peter Bosustow. These early moments from magicians like The Buzz make us love this game, and this club, forever.

Vale.

This was the mark that the cartoon is based on. Would have been mark of the year, but it didn’t count, as it was an exhibition game for the commonwealth games in 1982
