Saw What Dreams May Come for the first time tonight. There are many favorites I could have watched in honor of him, but I thought given what What Dreams May Come is about that it was a fitting choice. R.I.P to a great man.

So sad. Immensely talented man.

Purely by using the social media metric I am amazed at how many people have been upset by his passing. Even someone like Heath Ledger who is closer to my age, from the same city etc. didn't seem to engender as big a response. Was relateable to a lot of people across generations.

One of the more versatile actors I have seen. Good Will Hunting my favourite performance by a stretch.

The equal of any stand up comedian, ever.

Brilliant ad-libber. I particularly remember his work as the Genie in Aladdin, possibly because I watched it in a theatre full of kids while herbally enhanced - I was rolling on the floor in tears of laughter while the kids stared at me.

i think this is due to his versatility in acting roles - people who are fans of just about all genre's have had a fair bit of exposure to him.

on top of that i think anyone can recognise his talent. you may hear people they aren't fans of his work (not everyone loves everyone), but i don't think you'd ever hear anyone say he wasn't exceptionally talented.

I saw a bit of some interview with him last night where he said after he won an Oscar for Good Will Hunting people would yell out "Hey Good Will Hunting" when they saw him in public but then after a couple of weeks they'd just go back to yelling out "Hey Mork", which made me laugh.

Didn't matter what great film roles he had he was still Mork to a lot of people.

For me his best was Genie in Aladdin (excusing some of his stand up), that was just a phenomenal performance, the reason that was such a hit is because he ad libbed so much of the classic quotes and they worked around it. It obviously wasn't a physical performance but the Genie is in my top 5 movie characters, quite simply because of the magic he brought to it.

Sad story - are any celebrities truly happy in life?
Those not *******ed by Family Court are probably happier.

Just did a personal top 10 of my favourite films featuring him (not performances, just films);

1. Fern Gully
2. Aladdin
3. Good Will Hunting
4. Insomnia
5. The Fisher King
6. One Hour Photo
7. Dead Poets Society
8. What Dreams May Come
9. Good Morning, Vietnam
10. The Birdcage

Still need to see: The World According to Garp, Deconstructing Harry
Awakenings?

Intersting this morning it was revealed that Parkinson was kicking in. Another side effect of psych drugs.
