Cricket great Rod Marsh has died in Adelaide after suffering a heart attack in Bundaberg last week.
Marsh was 74 and will be remembered as an icon of the game, having played 96 Tests for Australia between 1970 and 1984 as one of the greatest wicket-keepers of all time.

The caught Marsh bowled Lillee combination was the most famous double-act in cricket.

Rod Marsh was my first real cricket hero, I became a keeper in jnr and school cricket because I idolized him as a kid.

One of the all-time greats of the game. Was an incredible gloveman who took some phenomenal diving catches, keeping to two of the fastest and most lethal bowlers in the game. Caught Marsh, bowled Lillee is still a record wicket-taking partnership.

He was the first Australian wicketkeeper in history to make a century with the bat, and went on to make three centuries in his career, this was still a time when wicketkeepers as batsmen signaled the beginning of the tail-end.
