The semicolon is the most under-utilized grammatical character on this entire site.
Why is it flat-lining?
Do people not understand its proper application?

I suggest a re-education process about the semicolon on here, and a site-wide effort to promote its use for the foreseeable future.

I love the semicolon. Although I'm far more concerned by people mixing up 'his' and 'he's', for example, or 'would/could of' instead of 'would/could have', which happens with disturbing frequency.

People use ?! instead as the symbol is a pain to type (I don't even know how to type it from my phone haha )

"Utilised" has an 's', flatlining is one word in that context (and even if it wasn't, would not need a hyphen) and the question relating to the previous clause should not be in a new paragraph.

It would appear your semicolon is safe for the time being, even if somewhat mistreated, neglected & abused.
