Grade cricketer did a podcast and played tributes that people from all over the world sent it.

A handful of poms saying they got into the sport as kids thanks to watching Warne bowl during the 05 ashes, I imagine there would have been many more.

Like most of you I've been watching hours on end of SKW. A lot of interviews with peers and game highlights. Has an Oz player ever been more loved abroad? The close friendships and respect from UK is astonishing. It really is a cricketing fraternity with no borders.

I have been struck by many things about SKW. One is his fast rise to the test side after being sacked by St Kilda, with a very limited number of first class games under his belt. Then the learning curve from his first test games to his next series, astonishing.

Another noticable thing is how SKW looked over the last 10 years, not that healthy, poor looking facial skin. Espesh compared to some similar aged colleagues who though graying looked healthier. Coupled with his notoroisly poor diet, well, it doesn't look or sound good. 52 is extremely young, despite his brilliantly lived life, his authenticity, the kid who did everything. EVERYTHING.

Another point that came to mind is the comparison with Bradman. The former disliked intensely by a segment of Oz cricketers, and quite a few in his sides, the other seemingly universally liked.

I was thinking of going on a liquid diet but after reading Warne's sad farewell I will stick to my normal diet. Gavaskar is such a piece of sh*t mates, guy should be kicked out from commentary.

Nothing beats a balanced healthy diet, Shane had 20 years as a professional athlete he would have had plenty of knowledge of health and nutrition not to take short cuts, sadly it probably contributed to his early death.

Guys don't you think Warne looked better when he was chubby? I blame Elizabeth Hurley to make him feel self conscious. The golden boy with gold hair created magic over the years still hard for me.

He was very vain throughout his whole career and I've listened to a podcast where he admitted to having a obsession on how he looks. I do agree though, he looked better and was probably healthier when he let himself go a little bit.

You only have to look at his last commentary stint a few weeks back you could tell he had whacked abit on and all the photos of his day of his death he looked very thin, so he wasn't losing weight in a healthy way, you shouldn't be looking dramatically different in the matter of 2 or 3 weeks.

The Time Of My Life from Dirty Dancing was played as his coffin did a lap of Moorabbin. Good old Warnie just as tacky in death as he was in life.

His life has been nothing if not eventful, and he did enjoy a bit of 80s bombast, so I feel it's a fitting way to bid him farewell.
