Legendary songwriter and guitarist Spencer P Jones rode off into the sunset after losing a long battle with cancer.

Most famous as being a member of The Johnnys and Beasts of Bourbon Spence also had a huge body of his own work as well as collaborating with a wide variety of musicians.

Such a loss.

I reckon those Beasts of Bourbon guys lived the R'n'R lifestyle to the fullest. They played hard.

I reckon this is his finest solo moment on film, though there are many that never had a clip made.

Yes it's been a while coming, I've known of his battle for some time.

And yes I can personally attest he lived the rock n roll lifestyle to the fullest. I had some good times with Spence over the years.

Here's hoping the surviving members of the BoB get together for a tribute show to both SPJ & BHH.

Perkins, Baker, Salmon, Owen, Sudjovic would be good!

Absolute legend. Seeing SPJ play Sailors Grave live made you realise you were witness to greatness.
