He would have had more game time, only he suffered an ACL early on in the game. If you watch the replay VB can be seen on the Adelaide bench in a surgeon's gown, operating on himself to repair the injury during the second quarter. After a short break he fully recovered and was ready to play out the rest of the match. He should be back to his best by next week.
