Vanilla Coke

Anyone seen it in a store yet? I kept seeing ads for it on the MCG fence today and wondered if it had finally made it.

Stuff came out in the States just before I left; had it and liked it. I predict it won't do well here so I will probably need to stock up.

Yeah, saw the ad and almost called mum at work to tell her to pick me up a bottle. Who said advertising doesn't work? Will have to get a hold of some.

Have tried it and it tastes a little like Creamy Soda.

They are also trialing a 2.25ltr bottle of all variants, including vanilla with a view of getting rid of 2ltr.

I saw the Vanilla Coke ad at the G too. I've had it at Johnny Rocket's and liked it, don't know what the canned version will taste like that too.

Dad whinged that it is impossible to just have plain flavours anymore and everything's got to have a "****y additive".

Cherry Coke blows. It tastes like cough medicine.

I think its comes out next week. They have done a lot of market research on the product and found that Aussie's love it. They expect it to do very well. I doubt you will need to stock up.

Any drink with 'cherry' in its name will taste like sh it. They researched it for Australia and found out it still tastes like SH IT!

The diet lemon coke was a distaster. Dodgy aftertaste and all.
Those ads were interesting though. Smart bit of advertising that.

Coca Cola....or Coke. Thats all i need. The lemon, cherry, vanilla, orange, diet...etc etc can all get stuffed just as long as they keep pumping out Coke, the nectar of the gods!

WTF change the traditional coca cola products. It will make people really sick.

Mixing coke or diet coke with cordial is not very nice. Mixing it with vanilla essence is not very nice either. Leave the coca cola products alone.

They are just expanding their market, if they want to release new flavours so be it. Who knows, they may even win a new customer in someone who hates Coke but quite likes Vanilla Coke...it's not like they are going to stop making 'Coca-Cola' it is the worlds most popular beverage. Just let the big businessmen in charge of Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd. make their money.

The Lemond diet coke is a major improvement of the original diet coke...rubbish about after taste..it eliminates that horrid artificial taste that come with all diet drinks.

Dont know about the vanilla coke though..saw the ad and was shocked.

Looked bloody messy for a coke ad!

Maybe I've become accustomed to the taste of Diet Coke being a diabetic, but that lemon stuff is no good in my opinion.

Diet Coke is an abomination. It tastes like flat Coke with bubbles if you know what I mean.

Also, I hate postmix Coke and refuse to drink it. It's got to be a cold, freshly opened can or bottle for me, I'm a complete Coke snob.

The only post mix "coke" i can drink was with pizza hut ice..but then again it was pepsi and not coke.

But crushed ice in a big glass of coke rocks!!

Me either...has to be straight up. Sometimes my brother will come home with a warm Coke from the supermarket and he will have a glass with some ice.....not for me, i stick in the freezer for 45 minutes and wait for it to cool down.

Ice only waters it down and it begins to taste just like McDonalds Coke.

apparently it was sposed to be on trial at the G on saturday but i was too nervous and caught up in the game to think about trying to find a bottle. Found the cherry pepsi back a few years ago to be very addictive and the collector cans it came in were kewl too.

Whoa, you're thoughts eerily echo my own.

I also had an obsession with lemon pepsi while over in the US this summer.

And I remember thinking Vanilla Coke sounded nice, like an ice-cream soda? Well, it's not as nice as it sounds, and it doesn't quench your thirst nearly as well as lemon pepsi(mmm)
