Who, in your humble opinion/s, is more important to the Cats, now or in the future? Neither one of them have had a whole lot of game time, which is understandable when a team is dominating and has few injuries, but when injuries do hit, which one would be a more valuable replacement?

I have to admit i envy Geelong's list, the Swans seem to have to scratch, bite n struggle to get a flag, getting every last drop of success from their list, then there's always one team that comes along (Geelong this year) with a young star-studded list, and makes it look easy lol.

Do Geelong fans think you'll have both Prismall and Varcoe on your list in 2008?

Yeah.

I can't see Varcoe leaving, nor Prismall - he would have got more game time this year if he wasn't injured, and I'm sure he'd rather play in a side that's going to be top 4 for the next few years than the battlers looking to poach him.

Both have great potential, i think Prismall has the makings of a very classy midfielder, and Varcoe have great pace and skill, but really needs to get in to the play more.

In todays GF he once again lacked that intensity, its was quite good when he got it as his Mum was sitting in front and the group she was with really got revved up whenever he got near it.

There's only one thing that separates Varcoe and Prismall.
Prismall gets the ball and Varcoe doesn't.
Sure Varcoe is fast and chases well but gee football's about getting the ball and Prismall does that and more.

I think varcoe is more important for the future, we have a good spread of midfielders, and while prismall has loads of potential, varcoe will be a more unique, pacy and game breaking type player something like the davey brothers hopefully. at the moment though, prismall gives more of a contribution.

Varcoe in the future will be brilliant, has a much bigger upside than Prismall, who is your standard ball-winning midfielder (not that there is anything wrong with that). Players with pace who can use the ball well are always handy, once Varcoe learns to find the ball better he'll be ace.
