Even though the team overall had a crap day against the roos I was impressed again by our own Travis Varcoe. I seen something today that I hadn't seen previously and that was his tackling. Laid quite a few effective tackles in the midfield which was very encouraging. Not to mention that steal he did that resulted in a goal. He really is a player for the future that one.

I saw that, and his smother. That's what he is in the team for and should retain his spot for a while.

Yeah, great to have a couple of players who really want to play, all first year players too. It's a shame that the only guys out there leading by example are first or second year players.

I didn't see the first half of the game but chappy strikes me as a player that never gives up so I wouldn't lump him in with some of the others.

Anyone have any opinions on how Nathan Ablett played?

Varcoe was good, tried hard.

NAB was ok, would of liked to see him kick the couple of set shots he had, rather than giving them off. He worked hard, run a lot.

As has been said we just don't kick it well to our forwards, nor move it on quickly enough!

Yeah He played a great game. I think him and Djidi will work really good together if they play him this week, they will also put the fear of god into any of the tigers backs trying to get it out of thier defence

Worked hard, but beaten on the day. His workrate is a lot better though, he kept presenting. Needs to be more selfish in front of goal too.
