Can you break Waynos mould, just to be 100% sure they don't make another one. It’s called breaking the mould, my friend.
It’s also providing the league with somevaluablecontent, which they crave.
No way!Can you break Waynos mould, just to be 100% sure they don't make another one.
Well, one person puts up an argument, the other person spends his time building strawmen. No way!
Watching you two argue is about 50% of this leagues content.

Baghdad Bombers Vs Fighting Furies
at Abdu Prison
Hello friends, and thanks for joining The People’s Champion for our first look at the Fighting Furies.
As most match threads with the Bombers and Furies commence, there is always a day or two of serious sh*t
flinging

and a LOT of **** measuring, which in the Furies case, didn’t take long.

Personally, I really enjoy the Furies and their schtick, and they’ve added some great talent in the off-season.
Leading the charge in the match thread were two of their boom recruits from an off-season recruiting spree to strengthen their ranks, and strengthen them they did. Elton Johns Wig and Norma Lee Ava combined for over 300 posts and they were followed by the quirky yet loveable (maybe not loveable) TJASTA who was also quite active, knocking up a magnificent ton of Katharine Hepburn and Top Cat gifs, along with his usual copypasta schtick.
Returning players Sterge and tigland were also pretty active, and offered a POD. Both got into the match thread, and it was good to see that it was taken in the right spirit. Welcome back to the league lads.
Metalcrusher from the Bears was also quite active , chiming in with 100-odd posts of pure delight. He is scared of spiders though, so please be mindful of his arachnophobia when you play the Bears next. *actual footage of Crush

Wayne and EJW resumed hostilities after their epic battle earlier in the year over supermarkets and toilet paper, but this match was more focused on a mysterious PM.
It was a vicious fight between the two.

And EJW was hungry afterwards as he was escorted from the prison after trying to enjoy a meal at the Camel Cafe.

The Furies had nearly the full compliment of their list contribute in round 1, 20 by my count, but I ran out of fingers and toes so it may have been more.
They were very engaging in all aspects of banter and have a really bright future ahead if they can keep everyone engaged and active.

The match thread itself had over 2k replies so if you blinked, you’d miss about 4 pages, but it was really enjoyable nonetheless, and I think the Furies are on the right track.
They’ve addressed a few glaring deficiencies in the off-season and recruited accordingly, and I don’t think there was much mention of neck-punching, goon bags, strippers or dumpsters, so we think Ned_Flanders may have turned the corner on his road to recovery.
Up next, I’ll be handing out the awards to 5 lucky Furies.
Stay tuned...

The Stalwart

Wacky Tiger
It was pretty tough to come up with a stalwarty type figure from the Furies, but Wacky takes the chocolates this week. Doesn’t need to say much, or do much, but it was a stalwarty performance by the old-timer.
Another one which was tough to hand out, but who better than my old mate Halfy to be this weeks fallen hero.
A former EKA winner, Halfy is basically apart of the furniture here in the SFA, and has been for 15+? seasons or thereabouts. Isn’t really around much anymore, but when he is, there’s sure to be a multi or two flying about.
Didn’t really have much to choose from as M is the only Furies rook this season, but his first match was encouraging. Got amongst it and had some fun, and that’s all you can really ask of someone heading into their SFA debut.
This was an easy one, as there are very few in this league that can crack me up like Turbo does.
An acquired taste, young Turbo has spent his fair share of time in n banhammer prison, but that’s just his style. Well known for his elite photoshopping skills and that pink blob thingo as his avatar, I expect Turbo to feature at the pointy end in the beez again this season.
Recruited from the Wonders at the end of S29, EJW has really added a fair bit to this Furies squad. If there’s a fight, you can be sure that the human hairpiece will be right in the thick of it, and that is why he is my choice for TPCPC this week.
Very few “get” this league, and Wiglet is one of them.
So that’s the first week of ratings and analysis done friends, really looking forward to the next match thread.
Until next time
The People’s Champion xoxo
