Yep, not me. It just never really grabbed me, only the lure of Tom Hardy has me still somewhat interested.

I love Venom and Hardy but I expect a huge train wreck, I don't trust Sony to make anything close to resembling a good movie.
My only hope that with the character now established and out in the open we might get a proper Marvel/Disney made Spider-Man movie with Venom and Carnage.

I've booked gold class for this weekend. Going in with an open mind as i always do with any movie. Been keen on this for a while now. Early reviews are more miss than hit, but whatever. Not expecting The Dark Knight, but should still be a fun movie.

Funnily enough Tom Hardy is kind of what sours me on the film. If it had someone like Jason Statham i'd be down for a stupid fun time, but Hardy suggests that it will be a bad film that takes itself seriously.

They don't but people are going in knowing it's probably crap but they'll hand over money because brand.

Saw an interview with Tom Hardy and he said the best scenes he shot didn't make the final cut.

Could've been interesting to watch, but I'll pass.

I get the feeling a few people went into making the movie thinking it would be R rated, instead they have decided to go in PG:13 as they want to have Venom with Spider-Man at some point. So reckon the "missing" 40 mins are probably hardcore stuff.

Shame by Sony, did they learn nothing from Logan and Deadpool.

That could be true but most people expected this movie to be R rated and lets face it, it should have been.

Good Night and Good Luck, Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind, Ides of March. Sure hes had some misses as well and i kind of agree with your point about Actors as Directors but i think George is not a great example.

Not only am I paying to see it, I've pre-booked and will probably get the Venom combo.

I liked it, 7/10.

Some left of centre tid bits. michelle williams character talking to dan on hands free whilst driving. nek minnut holding phone to call hardys brook. wtf.

didnt see much product placement.

final fight scene in the dark, which is normal for cgi battles.
liked the symbiote joining and leaving the hosts.
