I used to look at all the James Clements of the world who dealt with the problem of Fremantle by wanting to leave it and I would think, "If you all simultaneously realised that you could change the problem, rather than flaking off, then there would be no problem."

I sincerely believe Brayshaw, Young, Serong, Darcy, Jackson, Walters, Cox, Ryan, Pearce, Amiss and Treacy want to be here and want to become immortal. There are probably more but these boys are the true believers with balls big enough to change the problem. That half of them come from elsewhere just adds to the genuine faith I have that the day for this dog is not far away.

And the main dude who made it possible for them to believe is Nathan *en Fyfe. Because kids all across Australia stuck a picture of him on their wall and wanted to be him when they kicked the pill down the park with their mates.

Clement was pushed out by Drum I think? The coaches we have had, massive
Influence on players leaving.
History shows in the end that the players who leave end up more successful than
their time here.
This clubs only real audacious move was to get Lyon, and even after that master stroke they they sat on their hands later.
We need a legend of the game to lift our profile and become a destination club
instead of a feeder.

So much riding on the start of next season now.
Having a good list is about 10% of the total amount of things that need to go right in order to win a flag.
Coaching is far more important.
A great coach with a 7.5/10 list will achieve far more than an average coach with a 9/10 list. I’d argue we are already seeing this with Mcrae at the pies.

We can not afford another year of irrelevance or there will be more Lachie schultz scenarios. If we are out of finals contention with 6 weeks to go next year again, things could derail into very ugly territory for freo very quickly. Unlike the late 90s and early 2000s, we have never been stacked with more desirable assets than right now for the big Victorian vultures.

Eg - if we had played in a prelim this year, you think schultz would have a trade request in now? And risk missing out in a flag next year?

The measure of a club’s value is not reflected by the people who leave, but by the people who stay.

Fremantle Football Club is very rich indeed.

No choice. I was a South's guy. Freo has hurt me so much it's hard to put it into words. Of course I would never choose them but I have them.

Our team hasn't changed a great deal but our list is going to be younger with Wilson, Hamling and Colyer gone.

Might be in trouble if we have some injuries for sure.
