I think nothing short of a fatality or a class action due to head injuries is going to change this narrow mindset of the AFL unfortunatelyDon't really have anything against the dogs. But hits like this one and Houston one on Thursday night should be getting harsher punishments.
Extremely dangerous action - basically 50/50 to cause a concussion but the bans are minimal because of they were on the right side of that 50/50.
Meanwhile Mansall from Richmond is on the wrong side of an incident which happens so often for no injury and gets three weeks the 1 time in 100 it does.
If you punish the outcome rather than the action it doesn't solve anything because it's all down to luck whether you get suspended or not. If that's the case players won't change much if at all.
