Perhaps. But the point is people can scream & cry & say irrational things here without being called out by the supporter police.

The positivity thread may be better suited to that message. Or the JL thread.

But I’m not a mod. Just trying to give a gentle reminder of why people come here.

I agree. I thought Brayshaw for example was excellent in defeat yesterday. He gave it everything.

It’s just those guys strolling around going through the motions that ****ing drive me insane. We have too many of them

Watching us play bulldogs at Marvel a couple of years ago.
Sitting in the middle tier you could hear everything that was being said by the players & umps.
Doggies were taking us to town, they were communicating with each other loudly & clearly.
Signalling intention & Support constantly.

Freo were quiet as mice
Always late to the contest.
It was so ****ing obvious we lacked anyone who could inspire.
We lacked fitness & intention. On the back foot all evening as they took the ball in our 50m & 3 uncontested marks later they would live up for another goal.

IMO it hasn't really changed at all.

Same old shit sandwich.
 
I understand the club has worked hard improving the professional culture at the club over the last couple of years. They now need to turn their minds to improving the winning culture at the club.

Ryan Daniels says the club plays with its food a bit. I think that is the most apt metaphor for the club.
 
This year Ive made peace with the fact that we will never win a flag in my lifetime and its actually not entirely our fault
Iv'e also let my membership slide, not because I'm angry at the club, eventually you learn that anger is self destructive

This century all the premiers, bar the Eagles have had some sort of a leg up from the AFl/VFL, wether that be 18 games in your home state, draft concessions, access to academies, COLA, Father/Son rule ,( heck the Pies have a team full of them and the son of our first captain), how has that been allowed to happen ? etc.. heartland state clubs like ours are like middle class white guys, we do all the heavy lifting but we get **** all, and in the highly competitive science of elite sport where the margin between the best and the worst side is becoming slimmer and slimmer we are doing the equivalent of a racehorse carrying the grandstand around the track

I'm not changing sides, I still love Freo and I'll probably still make the odd drive up the highway for a game but there's no way I'm subsidising the growing markets via my membership dollars or my emotional well being via a blind belief that we can win a flag

Yesterday was classic Freo, I'm just grateful I saw it coming otherwise it would have got me down

My vent is our loss to Sydney was way worse than yesterday, that was the one that hurts the most.

I don't want to blame but it's the vent thread and I feel like Voss cost us both games. I hope he keeps learning cause there is a player there but we may have been 5 and 1 if he was a bit more mature.

Only supporters police around here is you saying Ghost Pig can’t vent about the doomsayers who all pile on after every loss. They piss the absolute shit out of me after every loss, and before any of you start piling on me, it’s not accepting mediocrity to want to support your team through thick and thin. We get you don’t like the coach, good for you, why don’t you run for the board next time a position comes up and do something about it?

All I was saying was this thread was specifically created for people to vent without having to bleed all over the other threads & without being told to stop being so negative.

Apparently that’s too much to ask.

I buy my membership every year and live & die with every moment of every game but I’m not allowed to have a scream & a rant in the designated space when it hurts too much?
 
Lol you've got no chance of getting on the Freo board (or any AFL club board) unless you're already high up in the corporate ladder, or a high profile ex player.

And this is a Vent thread, something all fans are entitled to do, we do have a Positivity thread and that's a good place to be if you don't like 'the grizzleguts'.

I love your dedication to the cause but a bit more mongrel surely would not have gone astray yesterday

Watching other good teams they fight , scratch and put it all on the line to get hold of that pill .
And when the oppo have it they want to bury them .

Our boys certainly can bring this sometimes but they didn’t yesterday and that s what’s frustrating.

Someone needs to put a cracker up their asses.
