As I've said all season, I'm slowly coming around, but have had a consistent pass mark that is to win a final. It's looking more and more likely we could reach or even surpass that mark, but being a Freo fan, it's a very one week at a time outlook.

Maybe i'm just scarred but there is a sick part of me that still thinks the Eagles is a danger game, even though on paper we should absolutely belt them.

JLo deserves a lot of credit for the last fortnight in particular - his two best wins of his entire tenure, to come from behind at 3QT to beat both Hawks and Pies is incredible, but we have 5 more weeks of footy, and after last seasons debacle, it's hard to go the early crow.

Also - Pies fans have reached a level of delusion I didn't even think existed - maybe it's because they're bad, but I hate all these Vic clubs way more than West Coast these days.

One thing that Drives me mad watching Freo, is the way when they grab the ball in the backline and then clasp it and brace for the Tackle.I'm sure we do it more than any other team.
Was interesting to see Collingwood let go of the Tackle a couple of times to force us to play on.We are clearly instructed to play for a stoppage and that is noticed by the likes of Macrae.
I hate watching when we do it and can't help going off at the tv .Please lets play on a bit more.!
Also at the Boundary lines ,we allways search to get it across the line for another stoppage .Another thing i hate about this modern game.All goes towards us being boring to watch .
The last quarter when we took the game on was much better as a fan to watch.

I reckon what you/we were seeing on Sunday with the contested possession holds was a by product of getting r*ped by the umps

They were trigger happy so the boys played the safer game of clenching rather than getting done for holding the ball .
All the oppo needs to do is pin the arms and the player is gone if you are anyone other than Collingwood

What was very noticeable to me.

1. Fremantle take possession, tackled with no prior opportunity, do not get an arm free but “attempt to get ball out using some bullshit body movement” - umpire does not pay holding the ball.
2. Fremantle take possession with no prior opportunity, gets an arm free and tries to hand ball or similar but Collingwood player then grabs that arm - Holding the ball free paid to Collingwood.

Prior opportunity was getting completely shelved if you really tried to get rid of the ball.
