Delete the hell out of them and their merchandise crap .
I filled out the survey recently about membership satisfaction.
Gave them both barrels about their poor handling of the W.A. media , interaction with long term members and poor drafting of forwards over the last 15 years ( couldn’t help myself) .
Commended them on recent drafting
overall gave them a 6.5 / 10 for satisfaction

Hopefully someone listens.

I gave them a 0 for something once. Had an enquiry and no-one ever got back to me. How could I give them more than 0?

Yeah, those bloody merchandise ones give me the shits.

They'll only listen when many stop renewing.

I felt Brayshaw should never have gone backwards to Acres and knew in my gut straight away as soon as he did it was going to end badly. With time an issue, he (Brayshaw) had to be smarter, and just get it back in there.
Big turning point late in the game. It really was abuse the telly stuff.

In those surveys when they ask you at the end for a word or words that come to mind, in the past I have said incompetent and amateurish.

So we can pretty much assume those surveys are only there so they can stroke their own ego's with the positive replies.

Sounds like an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. Lets get Gordan Ramsay in there to sort them out.

Anyone reckon we do better without Fyfe? I don't necessarily agree but I've seen that sentiment growing lately and wonder what everyone thinks.
I have posted a few times that there is stats that support that opinion. Back in 2018 our best wins came without him, and we had 2 wins without him the last 2 weeks. I think we maybe could get better value from him. He is perfect for Ross’s approach of bullying the ball out of the stoppage, but he maybe needs to be more nuanced with an ensemble midfield.

I was a member for 12 years before I moved to Melbourne, didn't get a single email asking why I had stopped etc or if I wanted to join the Vic membership team. So I didn’t. 12 seasons at 400+ a year and not a single email asking why I cancelled, clubs don’t give a shit about the fans. The only time they have cared is when they thought a large percentage of people would demand refunds over Covid.

Please!!!!Better without him??? Every AFL club would put him in their midfield at the centre bounce, without him playing we would have struggled to get 2 wins this season. Its not always the number of possessions but the way he takes tackles on and wins the contested ball at important moments.

I moved to Hobart in 2016. Was and still a member. Guess how many emails I get from the club when the team comes to play in Tassie?

It’s crazy how bad they are at member management.

Is this a Fremantle thing or do other clubs have the same issues? I suppose not many of us really know as we only deal with Fremantle.

What makes that loss worse is Carlton fans believe that their team played amazing and deserved to win.

F$&k they were lucky!!!!

Yeah f**k, that's what I want to vent about most.

They had everything go their way... they had our home game taken off us and given to them, had the umps give them the momentum at the start and then a bunch of soft goals throughout, got dominated in most aspects of the game only for us to waste our chances...

...and despite all this do they show any humility and acknowledge their luck? Do they f**k! They're all over the main board smug as f**k acting like it was some heroic victory where they completely outclassed us. I'm really starting to hate those campaigners.

I would imagine it’s all clubs, they know enough people will continue to be members with zero effort.

And that is the problem. You are taken for granted just because (not saying you) you want to keep your "I've been a constant member for xx years."

These days everyone has a PS/Xbox, Netflix, Amazon, Kayo subscription.

Or you could go to a stadium that is hard to get to, pay for shit overpriced food and drink, just to come out depressed because your team lost.

I've said it elsewhere but these days people want value for money. You don't get that as a member of an AFL team.

The teams that recognise this sooner will be the ones that prosper. Forget their stupid surveys.

Agree 100% with all of this post.

How hard would it be to offer up tickets for sale in the away members section or behind the goals with whatever cheer squad is there? I'm pretty sure I told them this in the survey.
Exactly
I suggested they do little things like acknowledging my mums upcoming 70th Birthday.
she is a founding member, on a pension and has pretty much been to every game ever played at home , mostly on her own unless some of us kids join her which is rarely as we all live in regional areas .
It would mean a lot to her .

They used to do things like that! I got sent a card as a kid signed by Pav :)

small sample size but over the last 2 years our winrate in games that Fyfe has played is 42% and 50% for games that he hasn't played. Our other midfielders especially do seem to step up when he's not there.

It tends to happen with many teams that might have a particularly dominant player (esp compared to the rest of the internal ranks). When the dominant player is out of the side you get a spread of lift across the team. From what I've noticed this diminishes over time. So it works short term (first week or two) but not something that is sustainable in the medium term, unless/until other players develop to become top-flight players themselves.

100% agree. He is a brilliant player its more cultural in how he fits into that team dynamic and this is something he probably needs to get to grips with as well. We have an amazingly talented bunch of players !

The post does not say "we need to get rid of Nat Fyfe" the post says "we do better without him" --- certainly we seem to kick straighter without him!! To me its not about ditching him but utilising him better and developing the culture of the team. Same thing happened with Pav. We were over-reliant ... but when he went forward that all loosened up a bit. (IMO) ... same thing needs to happen in this case. We are so close. Knocking on the door of the 8 and we have been playing SH** FOOTBALL - - seriously. Lost two games we should have dead set creamed the opposition. If that clicks we are AWAY ...
