We don't have a killer instinct. We had Carlton on the ropes in the third qtr but we can't put teams away. It's an ongoing cycle. For years. And years. Barring a year or two maybe forever?!? We talked the talk all week and there were some huge efforts to rally but this post could be from any Freo game from any year.
They need to make this a game that gets looked back on as a line in the sand/turning point for the guys who played tonight. We brought the noise but got pantsed on the big stage. The effort came (late) but we didn't win a game we should have won. It has to make us stronger. Can this group of players break the cycle and be ruthless hard AF killers?
I feel like I am part of that group. I don’t mean to be but my god it feels good to melt/vent on here. Where else do I get my frustration out……..Looking forward to a few posters magically reappearing after this loss after being gone for the last few weeks. Like clockwork.
Or those supporters week in week out that accept mediocrity and have a hard on for WaltersYou ******* useless bastards... now we have to endure those select few "Freo supporters" for the rest of the week that seem to only appear on BigFooty after a loss.
That was beyond stupid .Can someone explain to me what blake acres was thinking in the last quarter kicking it backwards into a 2 on 1. That was a pathetic turnover that i could see coming from the loumge room
Hah! Was just telling my wife the same story but from the opposite point of view. We are a shit cricket team that always beats a better one. We just turn up knowing they are soft and a bit of chat wilts them.I wrote a fairly positive post in the autopsy, the one vent I have is how unnerving it is to experience us losing to this sh*t team continuously the last few years.
Reminds me of this district cricket team we used to play, bottom of the barrel and could never manage more than a win and a few draws each season. That win happened to be against my team and we consistently played finals.
It got to be they'd wear the same sh*t-eating grin when they played us each season, they knew we were good, they knew they were sh*t, but they sure as he'll knew they'd best us. The mental edge they had was all the more enjoyable for them because they knew overall they were going nowhere, but in that moment they could bank on a win against us and feel better about themselves for one weekend.
That's the Carlton situation, and it's unnerving ad hell.
Hope it doesn't last forever.
You are notI feel like I am part of that group. I don’t mean to be but my god it feels good to melt/vent on here. Where else do I get my frustration out……..
Thanks. It feels that way though, the melts just have to come out somewhere. You are not
There are people who literally disappear if we win or just post negative shit in the game day thread and nothing elseThanks. It feels that way though, the metal just have to come out somewhere.
You're definitely not, you don't disappear when we win and you have good takes on a lot of things.I feel like I am part of that group. I don’t mean to be but my god it feels good to melt/vent on here. Where else do I get my frustration out……..
I can’t imagine how I’m going to feel next time we play them , my disliking ( polite version) for them has been building the last few years and I was hoping this one would break the Hoodoo. We are officially Carltons b*tch.
Yep...............And that annoys shit out of me.......@#$%^&*(*&^%$#We are officially Carltons b*tch.
That was Ok in 1995 when Carlton were good and we were the new team.We are officially Carltons b*tch.
not a chance, some of us are probably slightly more active thanks to melting/venting, then you have some who exclusively appear after losses to pot the clubI feel like I am part of that group. I don’t mean to be but my god it feels good to melt/vent on here. Where else do I get my frustration out……..
i’m so grateful that I can use the ignore list to be mostly free of those people, feel for the modsThere are people who literally disappear if we win or just post negative sh*t in the game day thread and nothing else
I mean the opposite of that is to be one of those posters that gets way ahead of themselves whenever we win. The ones that “disappear” whenever we lose.I feel like I am part of that group. I don’t mean to be but my god it feels good to melt/vent on here. Where else do I get my frustration out……..
The way I see it is that a loss to the 13th (now 12th) placed team in a game that would have seen us in the hunt for the 8 is more notable than a couple of goal win against the 16th placed team last week. Naturally it’s going to be talked about more. I honestly don’t know why people expect supporters to be fervently posting after knocking off lowly Collingwood (as just one example for this year).I think we are all waiting for when we win more than we lose. That’s the frustration
