You know after membership for 25 years or however long it’s been I’m just to tired to care any more.
sick of yelling at the TV
Sick of making excuses
Sick of watching sub WAFL skills

message to Simon Garlick. I’m out / done / finished

My rant.
I'm off 6 playing golf and I haven't played in a couple of months. I know, through experience, how to get back to playing to my handicap in 2 or 3 weeks. It's simple. I'll probably hit 1000's of balls in that time. I'll have a game, note what needs working on, the head to the range, hit a few 100 balls and repeat this until I'm back to my handicap. Now I'm a 44 year old with a very full-time job and I coach an U/10's as well as be a husband and dad and I understand what it takes to improve my skill level to where I want it to be. It's practice, practice, practice, practice and more practice. Professional golfers will, if not playing well in a round, head straight to the range for hours until they get their skill right.
Our forwards should be spending at least 30mins after training each day taking set shots at goal and their 'days off' should be at least another 100 shots at goal.
All other bullshit aside, kicking set shots is the players responsibility to get right, but they're clearly not seriously or diligently practising this skill.
You don't improve but 'wanting' or 'hoping'. Just get out there and do it.
Journalist's don't ask what we're doing to get better. They hear the coach say 'its something we need to improve' and are happy with that.
What are we doing to improve our goal kicking?
The unprofessionalism is a joke and an embarrassment.

There was a lot of chatter last week about how good the win against Collingwood was. I was having none of it. Didnt care. Why? We've had plenty of these "good wins" over the years. I said to my mates, I don't care about this win, it's what we do next week which makes us. After a "good win" it's Dockers procedure it seems to lose the very winnable game that we have the next week.

And here we are, just as I expected, we lose the very winnable game the next week, for nothing simpler than more poor kicking - learn to kick a friggen drop punt you muppets! Absolutely pathetic. After being so loyal to the club for 25 years, foundation member etc, i'm just tired of it all. The club certainly wont be seeing another dollar from me until they can improve on the basics and play with some respectability.

Maybe we have a team of Ian Baker Finch’s?

I'm not disagreeing with you but how do you practice for the drive off the first tee with 20,000 people watching you, or putting with 20,000 people yelling at you? Because that's the reality that the players have to deal with in a game.
I've seen footage of WC players taking set shots with all of the other players forming a barrier along the run up and yelling abuse and off putting remarks to the player taking the shot. We need to do the same.

Can someone explain to me what blake acres was thinking in the last quarter kicking it backwards into a 2 on 1. That was a pathetic turnover that i could see coming from the loumge room

I felt Brayshaw should never have gone backwards to Acres and knew in my gut straight away as soon as he did it was going to end badly. With time an issue, he (Brayshaw) had to be smarter, and just get it back in there.

I remember Cloke used to practice with ear pieces in that had recorded crowd noise

Didn't watch the game live, stayed on the BF game thread. Very entertaining and after the game felt very calm and stress free.
All my frustration was wiped away reading the posts , the game was played out for me in other posters vents and frustrations.
It's cathartic, will do it for all away and important games. :p

I requested the refund for round 16. Made me feel a little better. It is becoming very difficult to support this club. I have even resorted to not watching the away games. My family thanks me for it

I’ve got a family of four membership, last year swallowed the hype n gave them the lot, earlier this year didn’t make the short window for a refund and they got that as well, THIS TIME no holding back, show me the money. No more, twenty six years and apart from four more of the same. Can’t believe a word coming out of this mob, could rant for hours but no point, they can just **** off. Doesn’t help that I’ve read Mick Warner’s book either, just another corporate sucking hard earned out of good people.

Is it too soon to say 'I told you so'?

To be fair there were some pretty unreasonable extenuating circumstances this time.

It's not over yet, at any rate.

First comment, look at WC today. Second comment, we subsequently fought back to level the scores in the last qtr.

But okay... enjoy your gleeful bump, I guess? didnt realise my post was so vexing 🤷‍♂️

Anyone reckon we do better without Fyfe? I don't necessarily agree but I've seen that sentiment growing lately and wonder what everyone thinks.

There's nothing gleeful about it. I'm not happy we're crap. Your post isn't vexing, this club is though.

Does anyone read those emails the club sends out after each games?

I usually just delete them. Imagine the poor bugger who has to write them.
Delete the hell out of them and their merchandise crap .
I filled out the survey recently about membership satisfaction.
Gave them both barrels about their poor handling of the W.A. media , interaction with long term members and poor drafting of forwards over the last 15 years ( couldn’t help myself) .
Commended them on recent drafting
overall gave them a 6.5 / 10 for satisfaction

Hopefully someone listens.
