Trying not to vent in February but I do wonder if maybe the list has too many decent to good but not genuinely great players. Players like Brayshaw and serong who are good but have clear flaws - goal kicking.

When I think about Essendon I look at players like parish and McGrath who are 'good' but will they ever win the bombers a premiership? Don't think so.

Hopefully our list elevates itself beyond that mid table but not quite good enough level

There are guys like Hayden Young, Alex Pearce (when fit) Josh Treacy and Luke Jackson who will be the envy of many other teams this year.

It is a valid thing to wonder about but to put Brayshaw and Serong in that category is mind boggling- especially when comparing them to Parish and McGrath.

Starting a football game at 4:30pm in Perth in February is so ****ing stupid.

Inb4 Eastern states timezone blah blah blah, I know why they did it, doesn't stop it from being dumb.

Ok I’m a worry wart , I’ll admit it

But …… looking back at Premiership teams over the years they all have at least experienced if not gun KPF .
And if they didn’t they had serious firepower in the midfield making scores .

Treacy and Amiss are definitely projecting in that direction but they are some way off yet
Feel like the premiership talk this year might be a bit premature
Hope I’m wrong , certainly have been before.

Daniher and Hipwood kicked 91 goals from 51 games combined (1.78 goal average)

Treacy and Amiss kicked 81 goals from 42 games combined (1.92 goal average)

Definitely wouldn’t be writing them off when they averaged more goals last year than the premiers key forward duo - and this was considered a down year for Amiss kicking 36.28, he easily could have kicked 40-45+ if he’d been more accurate

It’s our midfielders and small forwards who need to kick more goals, the addition of Bolton will help too

It’s actually pleasing the list is still young and quite inexperienced.
Erasmus is good and can be great
MJ is good and can go next level.
Amiss is good and ready for a 50 year year.
Jackson is the same.
Young in his second year of midfield. He can go even better.

Draper is just 21.

Players like Chapman and Walker need to elevate their game.

Lots of potential

Need another mid to join Young. Jackson, MJ and Erasmus are capable.

Won't surprise me if Treacy is the best full forward in the league this season.

Sepultura recorded Roots album in the Amazon with a tribe. That's a variation of topic.

I can link you the footage. It's eye opening

Yes, looking at Jason Horne-Francis you can see the need for Freo to have a mid/forward that is so powerful. Perhaps Warner should be our preference over Pickett.

We also have a glaring need for small, quick, and skillful forwards of which Kozzi fits the bill.

Parish is a soft one way runner and McGrath is a genuine potato.

Don’t lump our two in with that trash
