Why is it our most important guys get injured? Young, Darcy and Bolton. Even Fyfe and Walter’s would be best 22. We don’t get injuries to Davies, Reidy or Banfield.

Bolton has not missed hardly any games in his career and then comes to Freo and out first game

Simpson is too tame and Bevo is too erratic. Hinkley's sides are equally mentally weak but it tends to come out in finals rather than H&A.

Horse is a bit risky with the GF record, but at least he's been there 5 times. Swans most recent football is good to watch too.

Initially I thought our first would be way to low for Rodriguez but today puts him back on the menu.

Season after season we continue to struggle with our squad depth and experience.
And each season I try to tell the importance of needing to field a team with at least 13 players who have played 50+ games with Freo. Today we fielded 11. We only have 16 in our 44 man squad and 4 of the 5 that did not play today are out injured (Fyfe, Walters, Darcy, Young). Aish was our only 50+ game player available, but not selected.

Team cohesion is extremely important and relative to team success and until Freo can consistently field regular experienced 50+ game players we will be infants in this big mans league.

The other part about a result like this that I hate is that JLo and his followers immediately come under huge pressure to bring back the likes of Darcy, Young and Bolton into the side direct from injury, instead of giving players a graduated return via WAFL. We have seen how well the rushed returns from injury goes in the past few years...

Having spent the past thirty years of me life living vicariously through this club, I always see things positively.
I can soon return to Thailand where nobody has heard of this club or our totally corrupt national sporting body.
In the meantime I can tell you I will be phoning the club to suggest That Liam Reidy should be told he doesn’t need
To train anymore.
He is a waste of our time and resources and there’s no point him playing for Peel.
