WA journos are the weakest in the league. People like Ryan Daniels and Eliza Reiily are mouthpieces and apologists for both WA clubs, rather than holding the coaches and the clubs accountable. The Vic media is annoying, but at least they ask tough questions about poor performance. It's why on the outside - Longmuir still seems under a lot less pressure than Bevo, Goodwin or Voss. It's also why Simmo lasted 18 months longer than he would've at a Victorian club.

I know they aren't popular amongst Freo fans, but Kane Cornes and Kingy are the only ones in the media actually calling the club to account somewhat.
Why should that matter? We are at an entirely different stage of our development to the Weags? considering our draw (second easiest after GC), us being 3-3 is worse than the Weags being 0-6.
For all the wrong reasons. 90% of Cornes criticisms of the club are about the two rucks.
I may be in the minority, but I agree with him on this. Once he's back fit, just give Jackson the keys, he's the man. Darcy got bullied on the weekend, was horrific to watch.

You're not seriously upset that someone called out the I50 tackle discrepancy? It's 100% relevant because it makes a mockery of the selection integrity.

I think you just have to accept Jackson might not win the ruck count, but he’s effectively an extra midfielder, and against someone like Gawn that’s probably a better play…
It's too early to write Darcy off. He's a big man who has changed his body shape and missed a lot of footy. He needs a month before we dump on him. 2-3 years ago he was immense.
I doubt Darcy would of been bought back for the Richmond game if Jackson didnt go down with a hammy.
