I feel bad for any of us supporters who actually thought this game could be a gimme and we'd respond after last week.

These players are broken and until wholesale changes are made we're going to be stuck in limbo.

The coaching and I’m guessing club culture is causing what looks like irreparable damage to some of the players.

Been saying this since the 23' season over and over again - "Players are corrupted" - "Player Development is getting stained".

If we don't make changes soon we can write off whatever hopes we have for this list. They DESPERATELY need a refresher.

Meanwhile, these selfish ****ing losers in the FD are using average list age and experience as an excuse, and to try and save their own asses.

They all think something will just happen and they've convinced themselves of this because of the above. But the reality is, it's not going to be because of who is there now.

We ****ing NEED the next set of personnel for these boys NOW.

Dominated inside 50's, clearances, possessions yet we never really looked like winning after QTR time. We have a quality fwdline but we move the ball so ****ing slowly we can never isolate them 1 vs 1 or better yet get them out the back for a cheapie or two. what a ****ing hopeless gameplan
 
I remember when I chose to support these campaigners me and a workmate discussed that it will probably take us 10 years to be any good. Here we are 30 years later and we are still shit.
 
Honestly that game tonight was even worse than last week in the context of our longer term future and JLs future.

The gameplan is so ****ing shit. It’s boring, it’s crap and it’s lifeless.

The way we move the ball is truly atrocious. That is 100% on the coach. Until he is sacked there’s no future for this group.

Then to top it all off there were some gaping holes in our list exposed. I think the freo fanbase have grossly overestimated the ability and level of several players including guys like Chapman, Switkowski, Darcy, Frederick and Cox. Most of these guys are nothing players now.
Then I look at a player like Beau McCreery - and I would take him in my team over every single one of those guys I mentioned.
He’s almost certainly paid less than all of them too. That’s the difference.


There was an alarming gulf in class between both clubs tonight. At no point after Collingwood kicked those red time goals in Q1 did I think they looked remotely like losing the game. They were cruising in second gear and we flung everything at them and still lost.
It was depressing. We are so far off the pace of the leagues best sides and trapped in the nothing less of 10th to 14th place yet again.

Honestly going to be hard to get anywhere with so many shit footballers getting automatic selections.

Freddy is a headless chook without a footballing bone in his body.

Ryan is a fat lazy campaigner.

Switta is just ****en shit and should never be picked again.
 
We will never again get three quality Victorians like Brayshaw, Serong and Young who have all committed long term and watching Justin Longmuir waste the first half of their careers is almost criminal. Darcy is next to useless, fatten him back up and send Freddy, Ryan and Switta on their way.

Well said.

I think overall it’s a good list. But most of our players have regressed and I fear that long term damage is being done to their confidence, mentality and development.

As another person said, something mentally is not right with this group.
