Early GenX here. I have apologised more than once to my daughters for making them Freo supporters. My eldest was an inaugural member at 3 days old - before she was even registered for a birth certificate. She lives in Melbourne now and religiously goes to every game there. The three of us have a group chat every game where, more often than not, we vent and have a bit of a sooky la-la. My son was sensible and chose his own team after Pav retired (although the bollocking he got from me was ongoing for years) and now (ironically) is a Bulldogs fan. He’s going to see a premiership long before his sisters and mother. 😩😩😩

You forget the bit that matters most to the AFL: the broadcasters. Channel 7 will want to know which game Hawthorn is playing so they can place it in the primetime slot, whilst the Gold Coast game will be tucked somewhere out of sight.

Where Gold Coast land will change the whole schedule as they have to play Saturday.

So i understand why they can't lock anything atm.

Which will mean the other side of the draw will have to play Saturday as well to make it fair for everyone.

If Suns come 8th and play GWS its more likely to be Saturday Arvo.

No way they play GWS v GC on a Friday Night.

Which will then Crows v Pies will be on Saturday night. Being on that side of the draw. As they won't have any team have an extra 2 day break between week 1 & 2.

For us
I reckon we will get Thursday Night v Hawks.

But if the Suns finish 7th it will be Saturday night with Geelong v Brisbane on the Saturday Arvo.

No way Freo vs GC is Saturday night, the cats will get that time slot, we’d be on in the afternoon, which would suit me just fine.

yeah, i really thought we had the tools to win a premiership this year.

extremely disappointed. 7 finals wins in 31 years of being in the competition. Feel like the suns could go past that in the next 3 years.
