Feeling this now… I don’t see us ever winning a premiership.

It is absolutely coached, they hold up the sailing ship sign when it’s time to take the game on, the rest of the time it’s slow and conservative to try to limit the oppo scoring, when our defence is so bad they score from over 50% of forward 50 entries, the entire point of being slow and conservative gets thrown out the window. Banfield, Worner and Ryan are not good 1:1 defenders and got exposed, all great at dropping off their man into a hole to take an intercept mark, but once it’s on the ground they are liabilities. Can someone, for the love of god, please explain to me why the Dockers start playing well when they are behind and need to start going through the corridor to get back into the game?
Did anyone witness the 20 metre handball in the third quarter by Heath Chapman to Brayshaw in the middle? It was a thing of beauty that opened up the game and meant that Brayshaw could find Dudley for a goal.
Why do we wait until we are behind to start playing this way???
Is it Longmuir's coaching? Or is it on the players.
Someone needs to find some answers, because it plays out like this in every. single. game.
So 3rd year in a row now the grand final is a big Victorian team with all the advantages that gives them playing against a QLD/NSW team full of academy players.
Without major changes to play movement I genuinely think we tap out as a top 4 team max with this current list.
**** it's frustrating.
The big Vic clubs have a natural advantage. No use whinging about it, it's not going to change. If we learned to play four quarters we might have still been in it this weekend.
Not to mention Brisbane adding Allen and Draper as well.Sure but we lost to Gold Coast who are adding three more top 15 academy kids this year, and also Brisbane are adding a top 5 player again so there’s that.

GC was the result of not playing four quarters. We go to sleep too often in games.Sure but we lost to Gold Coast who are adding three more top 15 academy kids this year, and also Brisbane are adding a top 5 player again so there’s that.

If aren't challenging next year it won't have anything to do with the GC academy. No doubt, however they’re now going to get significantly better. We have to try and catch up
Did you see the coaches votes by age data floating around? GC are going to be our main rivals over the next 5 years! If aren't challenging next year it won't have anything to do with the GC academy.
I'm just worried about next year for now.Did you see the coaches votes by age data floating around? GC are going to be our main rivals over the next 5 years!
Our list is fine, the so called head coach and his favourites at selection and the continued choice of Banfield and O'Meara (plus insisting NOD play wing, Chapman play back, and everything adjustment wise wait until quarter time or half time breaks so "players can be briefed") is the core of why we under achieve. So 3rd year in a row now the grand final is a big Victorian team with all the advantages that gives them playing against a QLD/NSW team full of academy players.

Gallop 6th ever game of AFL and three goals. With a 20 year old as his fellow key forward. And the sooks talk about how young we are and can't compete.
It's attitiude. We don't have it
What in god's name are you on about? The ashcrofts have played three and a bit seasons between the two of themYou need size and depth in the midfield.
You don't win finals without it. Brisbanes forwards are young, but they have enough big mids to stand up in finals.
Our old mids don't help us.
