I don’t mind Chris, would be worthwhile putting him in charge of the forwards tackling and pressure. Could make a hell of a difference to Freddy. He is also a very good citizen, good pickup in my view.

I get what your saying but when the ex player has gone out and got all the coaching accreditation and coached at various levels himself to qualify for an AFL position is it still “jobs for the boys”?
To me if Troy Cook got a position at Freo that would be a “jobs for the boys” situation because he is not qualified. Don’t get me wrong I love Troy Cook!

This is the same club whose main three candidates for the head role after Lyon was sacked were Longmuir (former Freo player), Solomon (former Freo player) and Sumich (former Freo assistant coach).
I like Mayney but there’s a good chance it was the latter.
