That is playing with fire mate - 28 points isn’t enough of a lead to be doing it.

41 points against Carlton - yep ok. But 28 points with 10 mins to go against a decent side, no way.

oh i agree, particularly at marvel where teams can kick goals so quickly. The only thing I can say in Jlo's defence is I think the Treacy benchtime was forced due to his eye injury, but I do think having those 5 players off was inviting the Dogs to get back in the game.

The centre bounce combo that followed of M Cox, Johnson, Serong and Young was soundly beaten by Bont, and the momentum then completely swung the dogs way.

I’ve been a Freo supporter since day one. I would bet London to a brick, the majority of you pricks in here weren’t even alive when we played our first game. Wouldn’t have gone through the shit we older supporters have put up with.

Stop playing the victim and appreciate a good hard fought victory. We are on target.

That's rubbish; JL didn't pull them off, what a shit call. Some were due their break and Brayshaw poked Treacy in the eye.

Why add the dig at JL without justification? The reason is that our best players rotated off for their rest. That's exactly the ****ing point. Burst with your best players, rest them, burst again in the last five minutes . We can't just run our stars into the ground.

It is like people cannot seem to understand that the very reason we can do that burst is because it is planned! We keep our best players fresh so they can flick that switch at exactly the right moment. It is THE PLAN.

My vent is about the f****g umpiring.
I try and be even but some of their decisions can only be explained by their pre-match pep talk. Fortunately I have teh transcript:
'OK Lads, the word's in from The Top. The Dogs are overdue a win and we have to do this one for all of Victoria. Let's do it!'

Freo coaches admitted they pulled off their stars prematurely last week and ran out of rotations to bring them all back on when Carlton started storming back.

It's not a binary (all stars on field or all stars off). You could stagger them. Ignoring Treacy's eye, Jackson, Bolton, Brayshaw and Ryan are probably 4 of our most important 6 players.

I'm all for resting them, but I'd suggest 2/3 of those gun players off at a time as opposed to 4/5 when the game is almost iced might be a safer call moving forward.

Pretty sad that we're top of the ladder at least for the next 2 days, had a great comeback win yet every thread here is a shitfight.

Don't get me wrong I can melt like anybody else, but at least wait until we lose to start swinging the handbags at each other
