I am still young and healthy with a life ahead of me. Supporting Essendon is most definitely one of the most stressful things and I am a uni student. I will concentrate on things that are more important in life than players who do not want to give their all for the team I support. Hopefully we will have players in the near future who care about us supporters and the club

Coaches need to find players who can play zone or roll over onto any player. Have been saying for a while now that the list was full of dumb players who can only do things a certain way and that is why i still thought we where a 12 win side.

Have not seen today's game as i was at TAC all day but other sides have worked out where to attack us and where the weak points are.

Left in the 3rd quarter.

Genuinely can't think of anyone who held there own in the two and a half quarters I saw.

We had our lowest tackle count for the season. Sums it up.

Ordinary day today for footy at Oakleigh today so not much to report.
Will try and add my thoughts on some mids who may be available with our second pick in the list management thread towards the end of the TAC finals.
 
Look. I never post on the Essendon board I normally just read and take it all in.
What I will say is, that yes this season has been incredibly frustrating. But injuries kill sides and that is what has happened to us. It provides no continuity between the individual as well as the team. Playing local footy really puts things like injuries in to perspective and provides Me with a more 'hands on' view on issues like this.

My question is this. who's to blame for all this soft tissue injuries ? The fitness staff of course. It honestly has crippled our season. I hate to think what we could have achieved if we had a consistent 18 to 20 players playing each week.
Something has to be done in the off season. Let the blokes that want to play for the jumper rest and focus on getting fitter and not bigger

This leads me to my next point. Players that are there are really not playing for the team or jumper and some are really not up to it. It bemuzes me how melksham continues to get games where he honestly goes missing for 3/4 of a game. Lonergan and monfries really don't show enough and I love hardingham but f%ck me he's frustrating. I wish he played fwd again. Another is hooker, trade bait anyone ?

Anyway that's my rant for today, the game and the year


Also I said it 3 years ago we honestly need another mid we lack in this department and caddy would honestly help so much

Fletch - hip flexor when he extended beyond full stretch to spoil a certain Betts mark. Probably won't play again this season seeing as we're out.

Carlisle - rolled his ankle when trying to push off to jump. Commentators said they were worried about a possible break but we don't know for sure yet.
 
To many players not up to it and with so many injuries/underdone players you can't carry passengers:

- Monfries
- Lonergan
- Jetta
- Melksham
- Hooker
- Davey's second half has been poor, his chasing and tackling was pathetic today
 
3 man fwd line was comical at best, not sure what they were expecting to happen with that shit. After 10 mins the Carlton players had figured out to stop chasing each other around and just fill a hole, so we continued with it for half the match. For about 10 mins in the second qtr Yarran lined up at CHB with an Essendon player not within 30m of him. I dont blame the players for todays result, they were following shithouse instructions.

Carlisle's leg looked horrible. Was mangled out of shaped, couldn't tell if it was just below the knee or the ankle, but looked at an awkward angle. I'm expecting the worst with him not returning until after 2013 season is already under way.



Only upside of today, the Carlton supporters around me weren't complete scumbags and left at 3 quarter time. I feel dirty after typing that...

People used to comment on how unflexable Knights was as a coach and how he just stuck to things. From what i have seen this year it seems the current Coaches are the same but are being paid 3 times as much to do it ....
