What do you mean by the "best"
Stadiums over 80,000 ?
Because I went to the Birds Nest in Beijing and it's amazing
And in terms of stadiums over 90,000 I've been to the Cowboys stadium, Camp Nou(I didn't rate Bernebeu)Wembley all better than the MCG
I've driven past the Sapporo Dome numerous times as well- that has to rate better than the MCG
Viewing from the top stalls of the Southern Stand at the MCG is not a great experience
Atmosphere and viewing experience i actually like the top of the stand as you can see the whole ground and get a top down view especially when it's an even crowd between the two teams.

I have no issue with the GF being at the MCG. It’s the home of Footy and the best stadium in the world.
There are lots of inconsistencies, advantages and disadvantages in the way the AFL operates. This is just another, but it's one hell of an advantage for Vic teams come Grand Final day.

Over forty years, I see it more as a missed opportunity to create a truly national spectacle once a year. If the GF was to move around — to stadiums that could produce a vibrant atmosphere — the whole country gets to share in it from time to time. And let's be honest, it's the TV audience that counts, the game day crowd size means close to nothing.

I've travelled a lot- too much probably- and whereas some people get their kicks on beaches and galleries and frescoes in freakin churches I visit every sports stadium I can
It's a thing
The MCG is up there but it's just about size more than anything else
It is certainly not the best sports stadium in the world
Not even close

Yeah i'm sure it isn't i was talking about to hold the grand final but for the size of our country it is very impressive how many world class stadiums we have.

I wish the GF did move every now and then.

The VFL Park GF is simply unforgettable.
And they even played a game of footy. I mean, who could forget Paul Dear.

NFL changes it every year , seems to work for them , doesn’t matter what size the stadium , think only 50 k last year , a very vic biased decision .

The latest statement from the MCC chairman......says it all really.

"Today's agreement is good for the AFL, its clubs and the MCC," Smith said.

"We want to see the Victorian clubs - particularly those based at the MCG - thrive and enjoy success. Their ongoing viability and success is good for the AFL, the MCG and the people of Victoria."

Yeah we are a feeder club...I heard some radio announcer on SEN last night say “who do you think Tom Lynch will play for next year, Richmond, Hawthorn or Collingwood”. Staying here was not an option he gave or considered.

AFL will not be a truly national competition in our life time. So if interstate clubs will get charter flights to GF can Suns get charter flight to China?

Brisbane are the drizzling shits.
think the players brought into the preseason hype and started drinking their own bathwater

I just turned over from giants dockers game for a look and couldn’t believe the absolute rubbish they’re serving up especially after last week
Lions played pretty good footy the first 3 rounds but today it got to be the worst performance under Fagan. Surely, 2nd consecutive game on the road can't be excuse.

Fagan will use the we are a young team excuse again just like he did after round 1 & 2.

Has Brisbane made a huge mistake getting an older coach that can't relate with players like we did with Rocket.

Too early to compare Dew and Fagan . Playing two away game in adelaide and MCG is not easy also . If GC lost badly to Eagles today will you said the same thing about Dew?
