It would be pretty devastating to miss out time and time again whilst looking on paper like one of the best few players not in the AFL.
Grigg was on Adelaide's list for four years- but delisted in 2016. Has since won the 2017 and 2018 Magarey medals. He's thumbing his nose at Adelaide - who he obviously wanted to play for - when making these comments.

He seems happy with his life and not wanting to leave Adelaide. To me there's nothing wrong with just enjoying footy at an amateur level and having time for other parts of his life. It would be a bit different if he signed with the Suns then a year later demanded a trade to Adelaide.

He might just be one of those guys who doesn’t love the daily grind and professionalism of AFL football. He would still get paid decent money at SANFL level without nearly as much scrutiny and can live a normal life.

Just seemed like an odd statement to make.

Great win today - more to come during the season.
My beef - was lack of car parking available at Metricon today.
We were running a little late - Red Carpark was full - under croft parking was full. Went across to Emerald Lakes Golf Club - that was full.
But, Blue carpark was not available - and many areas within the Metricon vicinity were roped off to prevent parking.
Ended up illegally parked on a curb somewhere and got into the ground after our draftees had kicked the first 3 goals...
Its common knowledge that everybody flocks to a free event on a lousy beach day up here .. so why the lack of parking (buses were not in operation) ?
Was a good turnout for an unofficial match though.....

Hi xxxxx.
We appreciate your attendance at Family Night Out and feedback.

With the predicted weather we did downsize the event and with impacts of Cyclone Oma not eventuating the club and our caterers did get caught off guard with the attendance which exceeded 4,000 fans this afternoon.

Once again thanks you for your support of the club and your feedback.

Yes, parking was a problem. I was lucky to get one of the last spots at 2:15. Another issue was thousands of people waiting outside the gate forever, then they finally opened the gate like 20 min before the game started but still did not let people go inside for another 5 min. But once I got a corporate seat with a perfect view and saw Rankine and Lukosius do their magic I was happy :)

Got there 20 minutes before the start, got a car park 30 metres from a side gate , noticed all the people milling around the entrance but saw a few people walking in through the side gate towards the scoreboard end and walked straight in. Then got great seats just to the side of the Suns dugout. Getting to the footy has never been so easy :p Izak and Luko were the cherry on top!!!

they probably should have had a better think about it and realised that the lions only have one preseason game in Brisbane and thats all the way up at burpengary, which pretty much meant anyone on the southside was definitely going to choose this game to come to for their pre season fix. There was a pretty decent contingent who had travelled down the m1 for it. Was thankful i packed snacks and water for my son, looked like over a 30 minute wait for a bottle of water at one stage. Lesson learnt hopefully. was good to check out the Pirate Life bar in person as i'm considering it for the lions game so I don't have to sit in the sun all afternoon.

Did anyone see Tony Cochrane's involvement in the state government's announcement of the bidding process for a second casino/global tourism hub on the Gold Coast yesterday? I'm not entirely sure why he was involved but I assume he's been appointed to some sort of director type of role. He actually suggested in the press conference that the global tourism hub didn't necessarily have to include a casino, and instead could be something akin to Disneyland. The large amount of land right next to Metricon Stadium sure would be ideal for that...

Side note - what do we as a community think about a second casino/global tourism hub on the Gold Coast? Purely from a Suns' perspective, it could be an excellent opportunity to secure long-term major sponsorship, which is one area we have really struggled in.

Not sure which thread to put this in so I’ll chuck it in here and see how it goes..

Coming up for the Richmond game this year and was just looking at ticketek... I want to sit somewhere from section
225-228 however these are unavailable... it only gives a few limited option regarding bays.

Are these opened up closer to the game or can you just rock up on the day and pretty much sit anywhere?

I'm all for it but I'm capitalist at heart and not a gambler.

Went to Robina on Sunday night with the Titans having had a great pre-season, exciting recruits and much positivity.
Came home soaking wet, seething over the effort, wife wondering why we bother to keep rocking up and me resigned to another year of wasted time, money and misery.

I can’t help but think that something similar could occur in this game and a huge realty check is delivered to Club/Community.

I will take great pleasure in eating my words if my pessimism is off the mark. I’ll be the first in here post game to declare myself Goose #1 and have a glorious Scotch in hand.

In regards to my suspension, well as a resident that lives/works in this community, with what money I put into the club, my work with getting young kids to have a crack at the game, my efforts to get Rugby League fans to get onboard, the interest I’ve shown in BF board members and supporters of our club all adds up to yours truly being more than a bit miffed.

It’s interesting that it’s the ones that didn’t like my wanting PBC/Helensvale to be the destination of the Academy Players as the ones that drove it.

Hope you missed me.

Without being grotesque or rude can someone fill me in on the type of comments that were made towards Tayla Harris or about her in that photo???
I don’t understand how that photo could provoke people to be negative.
That photo rocks.
So it’s got me flummoxed.
Directed more about her body parts than the kicking from some of the comments I saw

Ok thanks. That’s ridiculous. Appreciate being filled in. Crazy stuff, nothing beats health, athleticism and fitness for the aesthetic.
It's a freaking fantastic photo. I'm a guy with an inappropriate sense of humour and appreciate the female body as much as most. But the things being said were horrible and disrespectful
