Says the bloke that ended up buying one last night.

Been a bit pre occupied the last few months, Haven't given the Suns my full attention... Time to rise out of the lurking shadows and back into the Sunlight.
 
Dixons 6 goals will act to whet the appetite of a desperate Lions, they have already been circling and with that demolishon you can expect a huge offer to be made to Dixon at years end when he becomes a free agent

With Aish likely to go back to Adelaide the lions will have plenty of cash, and I suspect will make An offer that I don't think we will be able to match.

He would be a huge loss, not only as a player but he was also our first ever signing
 
The club will surely have the cash to offer him.

Dumping guys like Gorringe, A.Hall, Tape, etc frees up the cash to bump up his wage.

Plus I just can't see him wanting leave? So many strong bonds with the club & players have been made over the last 6 yrs.

i tend to agree but we have seen money talk many times in the past and after last nights effort you can fully expect the lions to put together a massive offer.

Yep they're like that. They've got this free round the world competition going if you order 5 pizzas before June 30th through their website and get your digital passport stamped. I've ordered three so far but their "passport officials" keep forgetting to stamp my passport. A bit crumby if you ask me. Nice pizzas (they'd wanna be for $22 - $24 each), but don't expect any discounts from them.

i was a little skeptical about the free pizzas thing when they first announced it was a possibility at the ground.

i've never worked in a pizza shop, but from working in retail with fresh food, i know stock control is of major importance. stores can't just be ordering in enough stock to account for a massive sales increase for just one day with the possibility of the promotion not even being carried out.

GCFC Digital could maybe just extend it from the following day to the following week? a maximum of 13k people getting a free pizza over a week rather than just a day would be more viable i reckon.

i've heard some stores may be honouring the deal on tuesday, might call my local store tomorrow to find out.

hey now, one free pizza per membership card/ticket. :P
not sure how they do it with timezone, i'm guessing it's a lot easier to keep track of the membership cards/tickets when there's only one venue. i'm sure they could figure out a database system or something haha

I remember after our first Metricon game v Geelong. We went up and down the Coast and ordered 56 Quarter Pounders with 4 memberships. We then went and give them to the homeless group that hang around the parklands near the convention centre haha

As soon as I heard that 3 players had been given a club imposed ban, I just knew that McKenzie and Bennell would be involved. Seriously dissapointing and not the first time it has happened. (Bennell.)
 
Take it as a grain of salt, but on 6PR a few nights ago Karl Langdon (close with McKenna) was saying that one of the board members of the Suns was regretting the decision to let go of McKenna. As we all know the reason why they sacked McKenna was because he lost the players. The board member was saying that he now realises the reason McKenna lost the players was because he was telling the players to pull their heads in and the players simply didnt want to hear it.
