I appreciate that.

I would have liked the post but my liking privileged have been revoked for some reason.

On the other hand, How sexy does my name look in that new colour!?

It's actually awesome, we need all the supporters with voice we can get :)

I'm having a jolly time in the gameday thread! Some bloke trying to tell me Zorko would be in GCs top 10 players  and he's a lot better than Stanley apparently

How does that actually happen? Haha
Some woman asked my mates (two lions supporters) if they wanted to hold up the banner as we were walking through the gates. So in the typical Brisbane 'IthinkI'msogood' fashion, they jumped at the chance.
Anyway about 10 minutes later they walk back to where I was sitting at our seats. I asked them what they were doing and they said that the banner had been forgotten. I have never laughed so hard in my life :D

Guttered at the result though, Allen showed real weakness back there. On the positive, Harbrow looks untouchable in close and Hutch looks the absolute goods, will be very very unlucky if pushed out. If K can keep his footing better, his work will be extremely beneficial. Broughton played an almost faultless game, great recruitment. Helped with him pushing up the ground.

The best thing is now that we have great depth. Bull, Murph, Meatball, Lynch, McKenzie all still out of the side. Plus Seb. VERY good signs :thumbsu:

bombs go off every day in the middle east. obviously terrible news in the US, but it only seems like the world cares when it's not in a third world country.

too true.

sometimes from 20,000 feet. home of the brave...

port will be a big test.

i believe it will come down to nothing more than who is in the best mental place. port coming off a relieving win in one of their seasons biggest clashes. while the suns come home strong in a narrow loss to the NAB cup winners, and also their biggest derby. can the hungry suns catch out a momentarily complacent port?

this version of the suns reminds me of the NRL wests tigers back in 2005. young, fit, inexperienced and hungry. unlike the west tigers, its unlikely to get us a flag this season, but i believe it will convert to A LOT of wins if the boys keep on the paddock and keep the hunger.

Cool analogy. Wasn't that the year of the Benji flick?

This is a vent on our D Swallow, or perhaps a management of our Dave...was a bit concerned with his performance on Saturday against the Lions. Was probably his worst game in the jumper in my opinion.

Have we thrown one of our prized recruits into the fire at 18years and will we burn him out before 30? Was thinking along the lines of Fraser how he was a #1 pick and thrown straight at the coalface in the ruck from the get go. Dave is a contested ball/ 1%er type player but as much as I want him to be a 300gamer for us, will he make it that far? Similar to a Judd as well in that respect but Juddy had probably a bit more help around the contest in his younger days.

Thoughts?

Keep him safe for when he joins brother Andrew in royal blue and white in 2015 :D

Not concerned at all with any of those points. In terms of games played, he's actually at the medium level of the scale compared to some of the others because of his injuries last year. Granted he has played in the middle more than most of our youngsters, but his break last year would have given his body time to recover.

His DE is always going to be low-ish because he's a clearance player who gets most of his possessions among three or four opponents, and the objective is just to hack it clear. However, his kicking does need some work. Probably his only flaw.

I think he's become far more defensive minded this year. He's still averaging 19 touches, but he's now averaging over 5 tackles a game. Still has the class though. His one-touch plays are unbelievable to watch. Even in the wet.

So yeah, not worried in the slightest. Has set up quite a few of our plays leading to scores.
