How the **** does Franklin join the Swans? What a joke. How massive is this salary cap the Swans have?

If any Swans fan ever even mentions the word concessions to me I will not be held accountable for my actions.

Good cap space management.

I hate the fact that Buddy is going to the Swans, Because now I'm forced to not like them anymore. GWS I could hack but not Sydney proper.

Our salary cap concessions end in 2014. Come 2015 we are operating the same as every other club (except GWS AND Sydney obviously).

All the more reason to support the cause. By that time O'Meara, Dixon, Swallow, Prestia, McKenzie, Bennell, Day, Lynch and Martin will all be hot property.

There will come the day when the HUN will talk about Collingwood, Richmond, Hawthorn, etc. being interested in Dixon all the while Sydney will have nailed him with a big contract that you can't possibly match.

I don't support Hawthorn but I'd like to see every club have a fair crack at retaining or attracting stars without one team having a massive head start.

Your cause is good but it wont achieve anything. Sorry to be blunt and rude about it.

Interestingly GWS only offered 1.2m for Buddy so they arent as dumb as we all thought. Good on them for standing firm. They are better off without him. I think these two massive deals for Tippett and Franklin are going to bite the Swans in a few years. Well I hope so, ****arse pricks.

I'm not trying to convene an emergency general meeting I just want to unite the general angst at what is going on. If we get enough support we can say that there is overwhelming support from the general public that is against the current direction of so called equalisation measures. In no other profession do we get an allowance for our jobs, we take what we can get.

It seems after watching Leon cameron last night, that they were banking on Cameron.

Sheedy said in 2012 that they were all but assured some big names (Cloke or Tippett is the fair assumption). They didn't really come good on that

Now it looks like it is going to happen again. How much can they really improve both on and off the field without a decent marquee player. Could be in for another long season in 2014.

Everyone is mad that a team that won a premiership can afford to add Buddy Franklin to its list after adding Kurt Tippett a year ago, of course.
